You basically only need a single non-free UR for the entire deck to function (Terraforming to fetch Dragonic Diagram) and the rest of the deck is lower rarity stuff. It just got better going first now so I choose to go first and try to get Verte as soon as possible which can be done by hornet drones or Raye/Roze. Another reason is because you can use Artifact Ignition to directly set Scythe from the deck to the spell/trap zone and by destroying one spell/trap card we control. I personally think going first is better than second because some decks like Drytron/Synchros like to have multiple negates to stop our play so we can actually go first and disrupt their play as much as possible What about if I'm not running the artifact stuff to Scythe Lock though? I know Sky Striker was primarily a going second deck before and you mentioned that DPE makes them better than before at going first, but is the deck better at going first or second now? Being detached as an Xyz material doesn't count as being sent from the field to the GY even though the materials are physically in the monster zone under the Xyz monster. Aside from that, you may not have a legal target for it in the GY (remember, it has to be a Normal monster, as in no effect and not one of the extra deck types like Fusion or Link) or some other card effect might be preventing it from activating. Some of them (Black Lagoon, Deca-Dence, and Outlaw Star) are on Funimation and will eventually be moved over to Crunchyroll in the merger, and a few of them (No Game No Life, Revue Starlight, and Ya Boy Kongming) are on HiDive. Now that people won't need to pay for Crunchyroll and Funimation separately due to the merger, I definitely recommend any anime fan who was subscribing to both before to replace that Funimation subscription with one for HiDive. It's a great anime service with a lot of exclusive series that you won't find on any of the other services, including some really underrated gems. | Calwings 05/07/22 6:28:49 PM #40 | I just had one of the most fun duels I've ever had in this game, a 10-turn back-and-forth between my Sky Striker deck and an Earth Machine (AKA big rank 10 cannons) deck. He tributed my Shizuku for a Kaiju on turn 3, and despite never getting another Sky Striker monster on the field for the rest of the game, I still managed to win. I survived 7 more turns almost entirely on monsters stolen by Widow Anchor or Shark Cannon, plus one single Ash Blossom normal summon that led to an Accesscode Talker link climb. The funniest thing is: I could have actually won a lot sooner because I summoned Accesscode on turn 4, but I had stupidly used Upstart Goblin for a draw earlier in the turn, which took my opponent from 5,000 LP to 6,000 and that let him survive the hit with 700 left. The card I drew with Upstart didn't even matter that turn (it was a Harpie's Feather Duster but I could have destroyed his backrow with Accesscode anyways) so I ended up making the duel even harder for myself by accident.
