It's actually the field spell searching effect. Keep in mind that field spell cards were still almost entirely garbage when AFD was printed. Now that they're actually really good and stuff like Terraforming and Metaverse are limited, a generic synchro that can not only destroy your opponent's field but also let you search yours if needed, multiple times if the card sticks around...

That makes sense. It's probably a combination of both, but your reason is probably the more important one.

I absolutely fucking hate this floor 270 boss battle in the Tower Of Luna. Between the stuns, the bomb summons, the fact that my characters keep attacking the boss itself (or the bomb summons) instead of taking out the pesky Shizuru/Monika shadows first, and the fact that my characters keep fucking dying before they can even use their UB's half the time... it's infuriating. When I left off yesterday, this battle wiped all out of my remaining characters and I had the boss at 3/4's of its total HP health. After throwing all of my characters at it today, the boss is still at about half of its total HP and the Shizuru/Monika shadows are both still alive too.

I'm going to be stuck on this boss battle for days at this rate, and I might not even be able to finish it before the Tower event ends for the month.

A free special summon on an effect that's not a hard once-per-turn is too strong in the link era. Being an anime card doesn't matter anymore. Konami had to ban Firewall Dragon, the main character's ace card in Vrains, because it was so busted.

It's the principle behind it though. Even if some decks have so many graveyard effects these days that they can still recover from no cards in hand/field and no draw phase, I thought they'd keep Yata on the forbidden list simply because it's so infamous as one of the main reasons why the banlist was created in the first place. Speaking of "no draw phase", Time Seal coming off the list seems insane too.

There's a clear difference between doing that in the early 2000's men's tag team division (where the division was already really strong and filled with credible teams ready to be elevated) and doing that in the current-day women's tag team division (where there are basically no legitimate tag teams and all of the various thrown together teams are being broken up every couple of months often for no good reason). Sasha and Naomi wanted to elevate the women's tag team division, while WWE creative is basically doing everything in their power to prevent them.

Considering how badly they were buried on commentary, in Becky's promo, and in WWE's statement, I'm pretty sure this is a legit "took their ball and went home" moment. Vince had commentary and The Rock bury the fuck out of Stone Cold when he walked out too. He's just that petty.

Supposedly Naomi was supposed to win the match too. I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to lead to a generic team breakup angle, and Sasha seems like basically the only person on the roster who gives a **** about the tag titles. At least this is the story r/squaredcircle seems to think.

The rumor is that they were going to feed Naomi to Bianca and Sasha to Ronda (essentially using the tag champs as fodder to elevate the singles champs and make the tag titles/champs look like shit by comparison) and that's what they were unhappy about more than anything in tonight's match specifically. That plus a possible breakup storyline right after that for the tag champs... yeah, that's some shitty booking right there.

The previous topic actually lasted over an entire year. So here we go again. New year, same lewdness.

My main opinion would be that you shouldn't really consider good in PVP as a reason to pick an active unit with only 25 potential slots. You don't have many options for strong PVP team building, and are using none of the current meta-picks, so climbing very high outside of the time after a bracket reset seems pretty difficult. Admittedly, my experience is colored a bit by the fact that I'm usually fighting top 50 BA or top 150 PA teams, so there's probably a bit more leeway in lower ranks that I don't really see any more.

True, I don't really care that much about PvP. I rushed both of them the night of the bracket resets (got in the top 30 or so in both) but after that I fell to top 300 in the normal Arena and top 600 in the Princess Arena, and I haven't really cared much about climbing beyond that. The full stun team I was thinking of trolling on PvP defense with (Tamaki, Ram, Muimi, Nozomi, and a healer) might be useful in PvE content like the Tower Of Luna as well, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra effort. I'll have to think about it more.

IMO, Saren is a questionable pick at this point in time. In PVP, you can't build any sort of turbo-UB team, because your TP boosts are Saren and Yukari, and Yukari stands closer to Saren than anyone else in your line-up. For PVE, her main partners look to be Grea (good for multi-target bosses, OK for ST magic team usage, though Misato would be better for a ST support pick) or Christina, and you wouldn't be able to run Yukari in the same team without wasting Saren's TP boost. If you can unlock Djeeta and get her UE, she's probably a better support pick than Saren, though you might also consider keeping Rei and ditching Saren.

I was still using Saren in CB for the old standard Jun/Kaori/Makoto/Saren/Shiori lineup, but if you think that lineup is too outdated and I would be better off with another direct damage dealer, I could ditch her and use either Rei or Djeeta instead.

I thought about it more, looked at my characters, looked at the character/rank guides, and this is what I decided. For now, I'm dropping both versions of Kokkoro because they're kind of bricked at the rank they're at and I wasn't using them much anyways. I'm replacing one of them with Ram, because it turns out she's pretty good in PvP for a free unit and I actually grinded enough during the ReZero event to nearly get her to 4 stars. Getting her ranked up will be my priority for this double normal drops event. Then I'll replace the other Kokkoro with Summer Saren when she comes out, and I'll replace Rei with Summer Makoto when she comes out. If I randomly pull Tomo, then I might replace Tamaki with her, but if not, then that's all the changes I'm making for now.

So my 25 characters after these changes will be as follows: (assume 5 stars unless noted and assume UE if it's released already)

Never mind, forget about all of that stuff about me building Tomo. I'll be pulling for Summer Makoto/Saren in the upcoming summer banners, so I don't think I'll even need Tomo at that point. It would probably be a waste of resources to unlock and build her now.

The Reds are only the 6th team in modern baseball history (since 1900) to lose a game without giving up a hit. The Suns loss meant more for this season, but the Reds loss was a historic level of incompetence.

It's dumb that they gave us double Normal drops before the max rank increase to 14-3 so we can't even grind those new equipment pieces that we'll need to rank up. So this double drops period is only really useful for building new characters or for people who haven't been playing since the beginning and aren't maxed out. But on the subject of building new characters...

Is a 3-star Tomo worth raising and using over Tamaki, Rei, Kaori, Mitsuki, or Eriko at 5 stars and (where applicable) their UE's? I know Tomo is considered really good and I have enough shards to unlock her, but I don't have enough shards to ascend her at all if I unlock her that way, so she would be stuck at 3 stars for a while. I made the personal choice to hard-cap myself and raise no more than 25 total characters at a time (to prevent my resources from running too thin, a problem I had earlier on in the game's life) so that's why I'm talking about who to replace for Tomo rather than simply whether to use her or not.

There's a datamined Dragonmaid structure deck that's coming at some point in the future, so I'm not crafting any more Dragonmaid cards or making a full Dragonmaid deck until that comes out. I would recommend you do the same.

It's only an SR, so unless you specifically need more of the other cards (particularly the UR's) in the same structure deck, I'd say just use SR material instead of gems. It's a lot easier to come by. If it was a UR we were talking about, then the structure deck would be the better option.

Same, that floor took out so many of my best characters. I was barely able to beat it, but then 263 completely wiped everything else I had.
