Yep, there it is. Mami "losing her head" was the hook that shocked a ton of people when the show first aired. Of course, in the 11 years since the show first aired, Madoka Magica itself became so popular (and the scene itself has been meme'd so hard) that it's actually pretty hard to not find out about it before watching the show. You're lucky that you got to see it without it getting spoiled beforehand.

Now i realize some people are going to say 'lol Tony Khan keeps pushing old people too lol', except those 'old' people such as Sting, Christian, Punk, Dustin etc etc could wrestle circles around the seniors in WWE and unlike Goldberg, don't get gassed at the two minute mark after using all three moves in his inventory.

Another thing is that AEW actually uses their older talent to elevate younger talent, unlike WWE. Sting is mentoring Darby Allin, Christian is mentoring Jungle Boy, Punk put over MJF and has been having awesome matches that still make the opponent look good even in defeat, and Dustin's been taking losses like crazy to put people over. Not to mention their use of people like Tazz and Jake Roberts as managers, as well as Chris Jericho basically carrying the company on his back for the first year while getting almost everyone he worked with over in the process.

Meanwhile in WWE, you get Brock Lesnar and Goldberg squashing main roster talent in 2 minutes and only losing to people who don't need the wins in the first place (AKA each other and Roman Reigns). The only part-timer they've brought back recently and actually used well is Edge, and even then, I don't think he should have won the Rumble and main-evented Wrestlemania over a younger talent they could have built up.

Today (now that it's past midnight and officially April 22 where I am) is the 3-year anniversary of Revue Starlight ReLIVE's global launch, the gacha game I've played longer than any other by a wide margin. To celebrate, they're giving away 100 free pulls right off the bat plus an additional 10-pull each day for the next 20 days, for a grand total of 300 free pulls. They're also giving players "dream lottery tickets" over the next two weeks that have some nice possible prizes, including a potential grand prize of 30,000 star gems (enough for another 100 pulls).

On top of that, outside of the game it was announced that the Revue Starlight movie would get a showing in US theaters in June, a year after its Japanese theater release, so I can go see it on the big screen in all its glory. I know this is a Bushiroad franchise and they tend to have a longer leash when it comes to pulling the plug on global releases, but I still never would have imagined that this niche franchise about a theater girl fight club would stay around for so long and bring me so much joy. At this point, I would likely call it my favorite anime-related franchise of all time, and I'm sticking with it until the curtain falls, no matter what.

Don't ever do that jewels to mana conversion, no matter how cheap it is. You'll have more than enough mana from the Grotto and other sources down the road.

Early on (like for the first month or so after you start playing) it's worth doing like 3 refreshes a day just to progress through the story and level up faster. You'll earn those jewels back in the story missions you clear with the extra stamina. Plus, during double drop events (especially double normal drops to grind equipment pieces) you might want to use 3-6 a day to get the maximum amount of grinding out of those events.

Outside of those situations, I wouldn't use stamina refreshes.

Man this game has fallen off the cliff fast. Konami really fucked this thing up, just like Legacy of the Duelist. At this point it isnt even frustrating anymore, its just sad.

Agreed, I can't motivate myself to play more than the bare minimum to complete dailies or event points.

I hate to admit it but yeah. I need a huge motivation kick to play right now. Im also on the cusp of platinum 5 and just not in that kind mood to deal with mega sweat.

Do yourself a favor and stay in Gold. If you don't have the time/motivation to go all the way to Plat1, then stepping foot in Platinum at all is pointless due to the way the rank rewards work. You would be making the game harder for yourself and costing yourself gems in the process.

In other news not related to currently airing anime, I'm re-watching Madoka Magica for the first time in a while because r/anime is hosting a re-watch. I decided to purposely find and watch the old TV broadcast version of the episodes, with all of the scuffed Meduka Meguca quality intact.

Ive actually never watched this original version of the show before (I didnt watch Madoka Magica for the first time until like 2016, long after the Blu-Ray fixes and English dub had already come out) so this is definitely going to be an interesting experience to say the least.

If I were ever to drop Yu-Gi-Oh for another TCG, it would be for either Magic, WIXOSS, or Build Divide.

I played Magic for a short time in real life and played the Duels Of The Planeswalkers games for a few years even after quitting the physical. I've thought about trying out Arena, but the lack of any sort of console version sucks. For the other two, I really liked the anime for both WIXOSS and Build Divide (please watch them they're really good) but WIXOSS only very recently got an English physical release, Build Divide doesn't have one announced, and neither of them has any sort of digital version announced either. So all I can do for those is enjoy the anime and wish I could play too.

I got the new batch of Tower Of Luna floors done today and managed to get all of my characters to their best ranks before the double normal drops period ended tomorrow morning. I had myself a pretty productive day today.

I don't think that's actually a thing, otherwise people would never clear those dungeons until they get massively overleveled. I know the enemies you face on the way to the boss are random teams, so maybe you're just having some bad luck.

You won't be able to beat that dungeon until you level up more anyways.

Just finished the 11k event points on my side account to get those gems and (as I predicted) I had way more fun this time. I'm having so much fun playing Ultra Athletes that I'm considering builing the deck again on my main account, at least to use for events. It's passed Sky Strikers as my favorite deck in the entire game at this point.
