True, but that is normally done as part of a bail hearing when they believe the suspect is a flight risk and currently he hasn't actually been charged. Is he alleging they actively took his passports or that his passports were mixed in with other things they seized?

That is almost certainly going to be true since those kinds of purchases are frequently done at the state or district level. A bigger concern is that they will use some kind of single keyed system like a lot of police do so they don't have to track specific keys.

AR-15 has become a generic term, especially when it comes to reporting, because it is a term that almost everyone will recognize at least to an extent to know it is an assault rifle. If they said the school district was going to have 'ATI Omni Hybrid Maxx P3' (I literally Google'd AR-15 knock offs and picked the first one that wasn't obviously an AR-15 knockoff) nobody would know what they were talking about.

I mean...even if you get to ride it eventually...you will have waited 60 minutes in a line for like 5 minutes of being tossed around a bit in a seat.

It only takes a little bit of math to see...amusement parks are NOT worth it if you go when there's even a regular sized crowd there... At best you might be able to break even in having fun in the early hours of the parks if you're super lucky and run to every ride before the lines start.

I mean...you'll still have to drive there super early...pay high ticket prices...possibly stand in the heat ect...and there's still the overly loud music they all play because apparently they hate people thinking any thoughts in their heads at all...

...You know what...scratch that...even if NOBODY else is there an amusement park doesn't ever produce a net value of "fun". I wish Covid had just killed these parks off...but sadly they are still around.
Except of course that you don't get to decide what is fun for other people, a fact frequently lost on people on the internet.

"In another story from IGN on Saturday, July 30, the country's Communication and Information Technology Ministry or Kominfo said that about 282 foreign permit applications had been submitted as of July 29. On the other hand, the local permit applications they received have reached 8,680."

It isn't like the services got permanently banned, they had their services suspended because they were late in filing permits with the country and the government happens to be super strict with missing filing deadlines. They also apply the same rules to domestic businesses, so they aren't specifically targeting foreign companies.

"The decision came after the government imposed strict compliances on the permit application in the country. If the platforms do not abide, they will be blocked right away.

Regardless of whether the service provider is a local or foreign company, the Indonesian government will not have a second thought if they fail to comply with the requirements."

I haven't read into all of the details but some of the headlines are miss-stating what the law actually allows. In part, it doesn't apply to spouses, just to veterans themselves and it doesn't remove all requirements.

"In short, Floridas new law allows U.S. military veterans who do not have a bachelors degree to obtain a teachers certificate if they meet other requirements, such as passing a subject area examination demonstrating a bachelors level of education."

"In order to qualify for the program, potential teachers must have served at least two years in the military and must have completed some college education. Furthermore, people teaching under these temporary certificates must be assigned a teaching mentor."

Still doesn't mean it is a good plan, but it does mean that someone can't just show up and decide they want to teach something with no background.

I think we are also seeing a slower transition in games, with a lot of games still being released on both the last and current gen platforms.
