Many of us have been here for more years than high schoolers have lived. There is something about that that is hard to articulate.

I've been on PotD for right around fifteen years now.

I remember using the site in high school in the 90s, but I never made an account to post. I think I had one or two, but they used to delete them if you didn't use them enough?

Use to I just came for FAQs. But after Xenosaga 1 I kinda stopped. That was the last FAQ I used. I always checked the site because it would pop up sometimes.

And I remember poll of the day when the poll let you vote and see this board back in the day. I used to vote and read this very board. I remember thinking this was the only social board aside from game boards back then. I didn't know you guys chatted like this on here.

I remember some guy BTB and I remember Nade Duck being talked about a lot. There never were very many of you here. I remember lots of it, but it's hard to recall. I remember Erik P.

I remember printing out a massive FAQ for FF3 (The US SNES version) using one of the big network printers at work, which would have probably been sometime around '95.

My best print was Legend of Mana. The re-release recently is when I made my account. But the old FAQ fit in a damn 3-ring binder lol. And that game existed here in FAQs before we had boards right? The game came out in 1999 and I printed that in Charlotte, NC. Last we lived there was 2002 and I had Xbox then.

Not sure why I like that game so much but platinuming it really put something to bed in me. I never felt like I beat it the way I wanted until then. There's a few other games like that I need to have a reckoning with, but I can't remember them atm.

I remember printing out all the item codes for Animal Crossing. Before that I would handwrite item codes for what I wanted, and sometimes I would make a typo along the way and spend an hour figuring out what went wrong

I came here back in the late 90s to figure out the rare candy glitch for Pokmon red but didnt discover PotD until 06-07

Almost 20 years ago here. I initially came for the F-Zero X and Donkey Kong 64 boards.

I remember going on GameFAQs around 2003 for some guides. I made my account in early 2006. Stated posting on PotD around 2010.

I think another reason I never used this site like you guys did is because I was stuck on mmos and my own guild forums for chatting. EverQuest, EverQuest 2, FFXI, FFXIV, SWTOR, ESO. I finally just got tired of mmos. After leading a turn 5 guild at the outset of 14's re-release in August-December of 2013 with rl friends, I had enough of the interpersonal drama and it just wasn't worth it. If I do play mmos from now on it'll be solo-friendly. I want to be paid otherwise. Gear and accomplishments have me jaded. I'll take cash money for that kinda effort.

Besides, nothing will ever top the Mata Muram raid in the Citadel of Anguish from EverQuest for me. I've been there and done that. It doesn't get better or harder.

Final Fantasy 7?

Its kinda crazy this site is still around when theres so many alternatives that are more intuitive and better suited for everything offered here. It seems like the admin team and user base are desperately against any form of modernization, so the site stagnated a long time ago and has been dying a slow death for the last decade or so. Idk why I keep coming back. I guess I like playing with dead things.

Found the site sometime after it's inception, posting here on and off since maybe '98.

I don't remember when I first came here exactly. Probably 1997.

Think it was 98 for me.

Started with coming for cheat codes. Then guides then I feel into the boards.

I think I was on gamefaqs in 97 or so.

I remember when it was bought out in the early 00's and it's been downhill ever sense.
