There's tons of options with every enemy encounter in the game. One technique I saw with the Eventide Island Hinox is to use Magnesis on the metal boxes and bash them into it over and over. I usually just steal the orb and avoid fighting it altogether.

That first technique takes FOREVER but its viable

Also the framing device reveal of him being in a therapy session with Banner is SO half assed
