Actually the DLC was cancelled because the director quit because he said he did all he could FFXV and wanted to move on to a different project.

I interpreted that as a really PR way of saying he was "allowed to quit."

But yeah.

I haven't played many FF games, but FF14 Cid is definitely my favorite of the Cids I've encountered.

That was the original idea, yeah, for the 9th Doctor to be in the anniversary, but after Eccelston turned them down they had to come up with something else, and thus the "War Doctor" was created.

Eccelston said he did read the original script, but it was too fanservicey at the time, and -- in conjunction with all I said above about his bad relationship with the BBC -- he just said no to the whole thing.

He hated his time as The Doctor and declined invites back for specials. I doubt he'd be interested.

As of last year he's back doing audio stories, but he has no intention of coming back to the show itself.

After he quit they basically blacklisted him and slandered him in press, and have still never apologized.

And to make matters worse, one of the key people Eccleston had a falling out with back then has just signed on to come back as the head writer again next year, so them alone pretty much cements Eccleston not returning.

It's definitely a shame. His Doctor is super underrated and deserves more screen time.

Though the last four years or so have been pretty ass.

Really? Cuz right after I turned mine in today I turned around and got a whole new one from her.

Turned in my first Wondrous Tails to Khloe. Never felt like doing them before, until I saw how much EXP you get.

Can you really do an entire journal once per day and turn it in? Seems like something that would be restricted to one journal per week like most other things.

Yeah attempting that while also working on the MSQ definitely killed some enjoyment of the game for me too. Started to feel more like a job than fun.

Got my Bard to Lv80; the Bozja grind really is helpful, and less tedious than spamming dungeons. But doing this for days on end is really wearing thin.

Once it's at Lv90, I'm debating going back to raise up my Paladin next so I can access the Tank Role Quests, but man...Paladin's pretty boring, esp its storyline. Might try Gunbreaker. Though, I hear the Dark Knight storyline is pretty good.

Ah, sounds like that'd just purposefully slow down the whole operation. Esp if it's a new player as DPS/Healer who doesn't know how aggro works yet.

You're currently in one of my favorite arcs in the game. So memorable.

Dunno if you did the Dragoon job quest, but I'd recommend doing that at some point for some more insight on stuff that's currently going on for you. As a DRG main, entering Heavensward was really cool for me.

I really ought to go back and replay through Heavensward at some point. The writing and characters are so good. Ishgard really grew to feel like a second home to me.

where do you go to grind them all the way to lv80?

going back to level up my bard that's been at lv60 for like a year

i really hate the grind. getting like 2 levels a day is all i can muster before i get bored, and even that takes hours. are deep dungeons really the only way to level up dow/dom quickly?

(also side question about bards. if i activate, say, army's paeon after another bard in my party has activated mage's ballad, does my song negate their song? or do both abilities play simultaneously? i keep trying to look at everyone's status icons but there's always so much going on)

Probably next patch. I'm guessing the elephants and the bunnies.

I never cared for Y'shtola from the start due to how humorless and "all work and no play" she was. Funnily, ShB was the first time I started warming up to her lol.

Granted, ShB was the first time I started to see all the Scions in general as my friends and not just NPCs.

grinding tomestone today, getting a ShB dungeon is always fun cuz I only ever did those via Trust before and I never memorized how bosses work lol (also it's been months)

also, kinda wack you can't get tomestones for other jobs under lv90. would've been great to kill two birds with one stone and do that while leveling up my reaper

Nice. Prob one of my fave intros to a video game (if you count each expansion as its own game). It's so atmospheric.

Booted the game back up after a few weeks of playing Tales of Arise to finally do the first Pandaemonium thing, and...my item level's not high enough lol

Just got into Shadowbringers. The fight against Zenos with you using Hien was super badass.

Kinda wish it was Lyse and not Hien, since she was robbed of fighting him before during her actual story arc.

You're almost at the good part, though. That's just pre-ShB right now -- once you get to the actual expansion, you're gonna be in a for a ride lol.

You know what they say, the hardest part of hard content is finding people with patience.
