Naomi grew up in a British colony. Mei Ling grew up in America. If anything, you have this backwards.

(also Mei Ling's accent is bad anyway so I was glad they got rid of it)

and it would've somehow been even more awkward if they had to end the ceremony on a "uhhhhhh well we've got nothin' for ya because Will Smith got dragged off after he slapped Chris Rock"

the main reason he wasn't taken away would be everyone knew he was winning Best Actor and it would've somehow been even more awkward if he couldn't accept because he had been kicked out of the ceremony

also if this whole thing was a stunt they should've dragged him away and then had him dash back to the stage when his name was announced for Best Actor, like something Stone Cold Steve Austin would've done

Chris Rock is a victim sure but he's also used to being able to insult people without consequence and he made a joke in poor taste about a woman's condition so I don't think it's quite in the same category as "victim blaming" here

also it was a really unfunny joke so if anything he should've been slapped just for that

It was nice to get a fuller version of Annie's backstory. It looks like both Armin and Hange have the same idea that their best bet is to make some sort of truce or alliance with the Marleyan special Titans. Also, I figured Levi was still alive, but it was nice to get confirmation. Now I'm wondering if Conny will be able to go through with sacrificing Falco because he is a good guy deep down.

Man, just watching Deja's story unfold was pretty heartbreaking.

I'd be more inclined to give Tomlin credit for being a heck of a coach for getting them into the playoffs with a lackluster team, and with that in mind, I'm not willing to rule out their chances before the season even starts. I'll need to see them be bad before I say they can't make the playoffs.

like yeah they needed some help from other teams to make it but they still capitalized on what was given to them

I'm sure the Steelers think they can make the playoffs again next season if they somehow made the playoffs this past season.

also it's kind of hard to say the Dolphins won't make the playoffs because of their new coach when we've never seen him as a head coach, he could be better than Flores for all we know

TWEWY2 Week 3 Day 2 complete!

Whew, that Ayano fight was tough. Definitely the hardest battle of the game so far. Traveling back through time and talking to Shoka all along the way was pretty cool, too. Also, we haven't seen Minamimoto in a long time, but I have to imagine he's going to show up again sooner or later. Now they're calling this weird effect from the Plague Noise "Shibuya Syndrome."

Day 3 starts off wildly with Rindo going back in time without remembering anything that happened before that. Makes me wonder what happened here. Maybe he got infected by the Shibuya Syndrome, but his ability to time travel saved him?

We got our first Secret Report, and it seems like these are written by Mr. H as well. It sounds like Rindo is a proxy for Joshua, who can't intervene in the situation for whatever the reason. In the main game, we've found a way to deal with these new Noise, which seem to drain people's souls and leave them as depressed, empty husks. Sounds an awful lot like Persona 3 at this point!

Attack on Titan Season 4.5 Episode 6 complete!

We lost Pyxis, but we got Annie back, so I guess it balances out. I think there is potential for an Annie redemption arc because I don't think she was really on board with Marley's plans to begin with, if I'm remembering right. She only did it because of her father. Glad to see we're getting a Gabi redemption arc, although I'm not sure I like that its climax might come at Conny's expense!

I also don't think Jean is necessarily endorsing Eren's plan of action. I think he just understands why he's doing it because he realizes they were backed into a corner and Eren got desperate. Plus, Jean recognizes that Eren only cares about his friends and couldn't care less about what happens to the rest of the world.

Pitts was kind of inconsistent, but that's understandable since he was a rookie
