Well, the early puzzles are definitely easier, but they did "dumb down" the average puzzle difficulty for this game knowing there would be a lot of first timers who'd never played a Layton game before. Anagram posted... This series has never been shy about playing up its Japaneseness, and so far, everything could have just been in feudal Japan. It's a Layton setting, not an Ace Attorney setting, and Layton definitely takes place in England, not Londokyo. Anagram posted... Does Layton splurge more on lots of characters than AA? Yes, Layton games have way more random people in them who serve no purpose in the storyline but only exist to give you puzzles. Anagram posted... Having murders seems out of character for Layton, it strikes me as more cartoony than AA.
