Nah, bags of dirty linen. I work at an industrial laundry. You've gotta do a bit of everything down there, but my main bag is handling the washers and dryers (loading and unloading) and unloading the delivery vans when they get back.

100+ bags isn't the norm necessarily. They're like 10-50kg each too, but today I had someone else taking them from the van to the stacking area. It's still hard yakka dragging them from the back of the van to the front.

Despite drinking 17 drinks last night, I'm killing it at work today. Just unloaded over a hundred bags out of a van, that shit takes it out of me even on the best day.

I'm pounding water though, it might be the first day in weeks that I've drank a full 1.5 litre bottle of water at work.

I drank my stuff and went down to get more. Someone locked the door behind me with a slide bolt just to be a dickhead. I got back in with a four pack of seltzers, a boozy wine cooler and six ciders.

Probably won't drink all the ciders but the rest are free game. Only cost me forty bucks too, I was expecting sixty.

There's Runescape Classic that ran from 1999 to 2001. That became a members-only perk until a bunch of Java shit meant they had to discontinue it. OSRS is based off of Runescape 2, which ran from 2001 to I think 2009 or 2010. Runescape 3 is the flagship "Runescape" from that point on.

There's just as much hard stuff as ever afaik. They've squeezed themselves in between the cider and the premixed bourbon/rum drinks here in Australia, but cider's always been a bit of a volatile selection and premixed bourbon and rum has barely been affected.

I'm sure there's another section or entire store where you can pick up an acai and passionfruit flavored sour beer.

I'm looking through the track listings because I know there are Propagandhi versions of Weakerthans songs, and I found two - Anchorless and Letter of Resignation.

I like the Propagandhi version better, it's all killer no filler. The Weakerthans version is over twice as long.

I kinda like the punk spirit of the Propagandhi version better, and it has a more gentle - dare I say romantic - sound. It feels like sobering up after a night of getting shitfaced, and you've got your head in some other fuck-up's lap while you burn off the last of the booze flowing through you. The Weakerthans version is more tight, but I always thought the feminine backing vocals on the chorus were a bit sour and the Propagandhi version just kinda makes sense.

I'm a John K. Samson guy through and through, I've got my favorites from Fallow but Left and Leaving and Reconstruction Site is where it's at. That being said, I really appreciate the added context of these original recordings, and I think they sound better in the original context than on the Weakerthans debut record. I can see why Fallow is seen as a bit of a flat note to start on, though I think it does have a handful of really great, punky-sounding songs on it. These two just aren't the cream of the crop, at least not on that first Weakerthans record.

It's winning by $20 million, and Lightyear probably had a bigger budget, but $180 million is nothing to sniff at.

It's like when the Tomb Raider reboot sold like 3 million copies in a week and Square Enix were like "this game did not reach our projected sales figures".

Is the OP song from John K. Samson's time with the band? I'm at work and can't listen.

Not super hot on punk, but I'm a big Weakerthans fan and I might be taking a turn into John's more folky solo music soon.

I've always thought of it as like an X-tra pale ale. Basically there are more hops in the mix which gives this really deep fruity flavour to the beer, and the same tangy, fruity hit you'd get from a good pale ale or a summer ale is a lot more impactful and thick than it would be otherwise.

We're facing transport and teaching strikes because our premier won't pledge more money to those sectors, and we're facing power shortages because under the LNP, it was decided that of all the natural resources we export, we're not allowed to keep a stipend for ourselves to keep the energy grid going in the case of emergencies - so I imagine he'd be preoccupied with shit-talking Labor for causing energy outages and calling teachers and train drivers selfish on top of being upset that they got elected in the first place.

I could understand One Direction somewhat because stan culture and boy bands have been a thing for like 50 years. I don't know why so many people are horny for like Niall Horan and Harry Styles and shit, but the whole boyband megasensation thing fits into an established social pattern that I'm familiar with.

Harry Styles as an individual media personality? I've barely heard shit from him, and even the big chart toppers people got so excited about like Watermelon Sugar barely registered in my sphere of influence. I heard Watermelon Sugar for the first time recently and it's so bland that I retroactively got kinda bothered about how big it got. It was something I heard infinitely more about than I actually heard.

And he's gotten all this praise for blurring the line between male and female, queering fashion and gender identity - and fwiw, he can wear what he likes and I get the good in what he was trying to normalise. But he never actually looked good in what he was doing. It came across as a bit of a disaster gimmick, with sites like BuzzFeed stepping to the fore to call it brave and confrontational to speak to this pointless fucking cult of personality he has from being in One Direction. It was mostly kind of ugly, and it felt cheap and performative more than anything.

There's a social media post going around saying that Lil Nas X is doing what cis people thought Harry Styles was doing, and I couldn't agree more. His hype was not grassroots at all, and I think more than anything, he's been bland and tryhard for his entire solo career. I genuinely don't get what this milquetost motherfucker's deal is.

The fact that Perez Hilton of all fucking people is getting attention from this is disgusting.

I don't know shit about bodegas so I don't know the full context, but I feel like the video maker was probably being kinda snide about this whole culture shock thing and he didn't need to record it for a global audience y'know. Maybe shouldn't have gotten fired for all I know, but I'm not prepared to comment on that.

My focus is moreso on the one aspect I do know, which is that Perez Hilton changed his name and moved into an apartment building to stalk Paris Hilton at the height of her fame, and I think before she was 18 - and he's paparazzi scum through and through on top of that. No doubt he's a bottomfeeder clinging onto this story in the hopes of getting some media clout from some dogshit news article potentially bringing him up like what happened here.

Hopefully this guy just didn't have friends in the city to help him settle into city life and doesn't have a history of racially charged incidents like blackface or saying the n-word back in Michigan. That being said, internet's gonna internet. Dude became the main character of Twitter for a day.

I realised how douchy this topic sounded after I posted it, and I decided not to pursue it further. But I've come back to report that the cider tastes like ass.

What I didn't read, because I had five bottles of tonic/soda water and a bottle of gin in my arms when I noticed it, was that it's a mango/apple cider. I hate mango flavored shit - I like mango well enough, but as just a boring, low-key summer taste? It's dogshit.

If the cider had like a fizzy, tangy sensation like the tart portion of a mango, that'd be one thing. But it's a boring flat flavor and then the sourness hits my mouth like a gaping asshole puckering around my tongue. It's the worst part of both mango flavoring and sourness.

But fwiw, it's 8% alcohol per can, and I got a four pack. So at least I can drink to forget.

I've had some sour beers before, there's a passionfruit and acai beer that fucks hard. But I was browsing a liquor store I haven't been to for a while, and I found this sour cider stuff as I was grabbing a bottle of gin.
