Didn't know about this "hack" but that seems really trashy.

People trying to get stuff for free that theyre otherwise supposed to pay for is nothing new. Its also something many of us are tempted to do when it doesnt seem like its actually stealing.

If you return a purchased e-book to Amazon within seven days, you are prompted to answer whether or not you want a refund. Apparently, many readers have caught on to this and are now returning books theyve read. I learned of this practice via a tweet from Lisa Kessler who is an indie author of dark paranormal fiction, including paranormal romance.

How does she know this is happening? After hearing rumblings on TikTok about hacks for reading books for free on Amazon, Kessler noticed that some readers were returning not just one book, but an entire series of up to 10 books. As Kessler told me via email, if multiple series are returned, multiple times, that begins to add up.

For Kessler, this meant that as she perused her Amazon sales dashboard on June 1, she saw a negative balance, despite having had numerous sales and apparently satisfied readers.

I suppose it is tempting to believe that returning the e-book to Amazon is sticking it to the big corporation who charged a bunch of money for that Kindle device, but it is important to remember that the big corporations are big corporations because they figure out how to get paid no matter what.

To be clear, it is wrong to take an artists work for free that you would otherwise be required to pay for, even if you end up not liking the product. This is stealing. We shouldnt do it, and I think youll see less of it now that authors like Kessler have spread the word of the consequences.

Chris Hemsworth is not a fan of the second Thor movie and hes opening up about why the film disappointed him.

The fourth movie in the superhero franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder, is being released in a few weeks and Chris discussed the series in a new Vanity Fair interview.

Chris admitted in the interview that he was bored with playing Thor ahead of partnering with director Taika Waititi for Thor: Ragnarok.

I wasnt stoked with what Id done in Thor 2, he said in the Vanity Fair interview. You know, I was a little disappointed in what Id done. I didnt think I grew the character in any way and I didnt think I showed the audience something unexpected and different. When Ragnarok came along, out of my own frustration on what Id done and this isnt on any other director, this is my own performance I really wanted to break the mold, and I said this to Taika.

Chris opened up about the chats he had with Taika.

He said, I think the conversation we had was, Im really bored of Thor, and Im really bored of Thor too! Then we decided not to be bored and anytime that feeling came into play wed go into a different direction. We just dismantled the character. We wanted him to be more unpredictable. We wanted him to be at a different set of circumstances than he was before and them have the humor come through. I had a great relationship with Taika and we had a great sense of banter and I thought we should cram that into this space.

I didn't really watch the trial. I just followed it 2nd hand by reading reports of what was happening. I saw descriptions of her bad acting though

Also the fact she would "uncontrolably crying" without tears yet turn to the jury to answer every single question.

It doesn't add up to someone actually feeling that emotion. It's so fake

Even the snippets of the interview releasing tomorrow we've seen she is blatantly acting in her responses rather than have a shred of genuineness.... genuinity? to her.

Its not just about saving time, its ensuring that meals all have the same calories and macros for me as well.

Most of the time I do make my lunch for the week on Sundays that I can bring to work so I don't eat fast food every day. For dinner usually me or my wife get something going in the crockpot in the morning so it'll be pretty much done by the time we get home so all we really have to do is cook a side or two
