I don't mind watching Let's Plays of games I've never played before and don't really plan on playing, or games that I just suck at. But it's agonizing watching someone play a game that you're actually good at because you end up just critiquing them the whole time.

Radiohead and Tool fans are probably 2 of the most cringe worthy fanbases in music, where a big chunk of them think they're smarter than everyone else for being fans. Which is a shame because I like both bands but some people just take it to a weird level of obsession that I don't see as saturated in other music fanbases.

And so far I still think Bioshock 1 is the better game.

I played the first 2 Bioshocks when they came out but I had basically stopped gaming by the time Infinite came out. I remembered everyone talking about it, it was hard to post on here without seeing people posting some spoilers and talking about Booker and Elizabeth. I don't know full spoilers about how it ends but I did know Elizabeth could open tears and that she's Booker's daughter going in, but I don't know how the game reveals it to you yet. I'm enjoying the game for the most part, I have to imagine I'm at least 3/4 of the way through the game just going off of voxophone progress, maybe more. I think we're about to try to go into Comstock's house, just had the songbird crash our airship and that creepy couple showed up again as we rode up the gondola before I had to stop for the night.

But I can't help but feel I'm not enjoying it as much as I would have a few years ago? It seems like these multiverse stories are oversaturated in media nowadays and I'm kind of burnt out on the whole trope. Maybe when this first came out almost a decade ago it was more mind blowing, but then again I haven't gotten to the end so I'm sure theres so twists and turns I've yet to experience. And I feel like Columbia isn't as...I don't know what the adjective I'm looking for is because the idea of Columbia is cooler than Rapture but I don't feel like Infinite makes you care as much about the city as Bioshock 1 did for Rapture. Once the first impression wore off it felt like the setting could have been anywhere.

I liked how in Bioshock 1 the enemies were the inhabitants of Rapture that were spliced up but in Infinite it's mostly just police or the Vox rebels and the citizens go hide when a fight breaks out, and the wide open spaces and waves of enemies makes it feel like a war game. I also don't like only being able to carry 2 weapons and having to swap them out all the time when I find them. At least we get to keep collecting ammo for weapons we don't have but that system just makes it seem pointless to have to keep weapon swapping as we find them rather than just building your arsenal throughout the game. And the gene tonic system was far superior to the gear system in this game.

I also cared more about the villains in Bioshock 1. Sander Cohen, Dr Steinman, Fontaine/Atlas, and Andrew Ryan I feel are more compelling than Comstock, Slate, Fink, and Fitzroy. I will say Booker and Elizabeth are better than Jack as main characters though. I do like the interactions between the two as the game progresses rather than the silent protagonist trope.

Can I highjack this topic to complain about og FF7? I just got to that part yesterday and it sucks ass you have to go through the rest of the game without her. 3 whole disks. It sucks. Real bummer.

Especially because her limit breaks are some of the best in the game (never had to really worry about healing) and was a no brainer to throw all your materia on since she was the closest thing the game had to a mage.

A) A lot of the players are Canadian even if they play for US franchises
B) There are 7 Canadian teams and 25 US teams (I realize Seattle and Vegas are recent) so they're against the odds every year. Now granted it is still pretty wild that not a single one has won it all since the Habs in 93 I believe? You'd think one of them would have won by now but they still are against the odds anytime a new season starts.

i don't work at a dealership but i know some people that work at them, and as an insurance agent they refer a lot of people trying to buy that don't have insurance. After 3 years it's pretty alarming how many people get their shit repo'd not long after buying

Whataburger has better burgers and fries for the same price, if not cheaper, than either of them. I get mcdonalds every once in a while if i'm craving some mcnuggets and BK has worse nuggets and fries. haven't had an actualy burger from either place in a long ass time.

Yeah, that's interesting, I wonder if they had American audiences in mind or if it was just some oversight by the developers?

Then again I don't think that's the only time I've seen that in Japanese media, in Death Note for example when they're chasing Higuchi he's driving a vehicle with the controls on the left side too. I dunno, weird

Japan is one of the very few countries that drive on the left and weren't colonized by Britain.

I'm not talking about which side of the road they drive on, I'm talking about which side of the car the steering wheel and pedals are on, which I'm pretty sure in Japan is on the right.

You learn to fix a lot of things yourself. I didn't know how to repair drywall until a towel hanger got pulled out of a wall. I opted to buy a $100 HVAC motherboard and replace it myself rather than pay a contractor. I did the same with the HVAC fan motor blew. Raw parts are often far cheaper than service and are pretty simply to replace. I've replaced sinks, faucets, ceiling fans, showerheads, etc over the years because it's just simpler. I'll even do some basic wiring, although in general electrical work is where I draw the line on doing things myself.

And definitely this. I had to repair a hole that I accidentally punched in my wall. As in I wasn't trying to actively punch the wall out of anger but more I just hit it out of frustration after stubbing my toe by the bathroom sink much like someone would pound on their desk or something and it happened to go through lol. Luckily I still had some paint and texture spray leftover from when I painted my house when I first moved in so it was a pretty easy fix after watching some youtube videos about how to patch the dry wall. I always wondered how much it would have been if I had hired someone.

I still have my Note 10+, and unlike other phones I've had this one's battery is still going strong after almost 3 years so I'm quite pleased. All the other phones I've had ended up with shot batteries that couldn't keep a charge after 1-2 years
