Same! When I first watched this with friends, this scene had me laughing so hard I couldnt breathe. Just straight up punching the dog like it was actually boxing him. The idea has me giggling right now. Like I said, one of the biggest responses of the night from everyone there.

but I feel like that wasnt the intention? Like I dont think the director wanted me laughing at it, right?

Perhaps he was trying to convey the absurdity of fighting against someone/something you love?

To verify what you mean by bonus content...do you mean the expansions? Because that's an entire other VN worth of content, including one full Epilogue VN that's fully voice acted. All the bonus content in general is about as long as the main game. It's also where some of the best content in the game is, and some of the most emotionally impactful. "Bonus Content" isn't really the right word.

Yeah, the expansions. And thats some high praise. I may need to fire this one up again.

I thought it was pretty clear, but I could be wrong! They only had one bullet and that one bullet was not going to stop whatever was making that horrible noise at the end. The husband says "maybe it isn't so bad" meaning "maybe whatever horrible fate is waiting for us on the other side of the door would make us suffer too much". I get a hint of fear from the other guys voice when he says they'll soon find out.

The gunshot was meant to be a mercy. That's why it was roulette and not Russian roulette, I think. Roulette, as in, she just won a prize. And that prize was a quick end without suffering.

Also, I'm genuinely stunned that Hydro-Electric Diffusion is still in, and even though ABCs 1 is far and away the worse film of the two, I'm stunned that HED is one of the top two segments from it. Dogfight is less of a surprise, but holy crap HED.

You and me both. Split and Knell are also surprising. They're both good, but I never pictured them landing in the Top 10. I guess it goes back to what Nook said about "Good and inoffensive" ones going further than expected.

My guess at the post-X hierarchy:

FF7R >>> 12 > 14 > 15 > X-2 > 13 > 13-2 > 13-3

X-2 is a wild card. We've never seen it in a contest, and while the game certainly has its haters and bad "Best FF" poll performances, it's also a PS2 JRPG that took 2nd in the 2003 GotY Poll (ancient history and a weak year for games, but still). I think it would crush 13 in a 1v1, but I can't see it beating 15 (or Hollow Knight).

14 in 1v1 matches against offline FFs would be interesting. I feel like SFF could work against it because a lot of FF fans are conditioned to playing offline. Could that swing a match in 15 or X-2's favor? Who knows.

Nobody guessed Ochlocracy, so the Vegas mob wins again!

Ahhhhh, those are some great ideas for fake-outs. Like others have said, I'm surprised we didn't get a deliberate sequence of fake-outs for letters like Q, X, or anything really.

Also, I'm surprised I'm not the only one who loved Deloused. Fully expected Deloused to end up in the mid-20s because of how weird it is. To think it was #1 until jcgamer and Suprak (who is no longer my BFF) dropping their rankings...that's mind-blowing.

Deloused, for me, was the most wildly original short on the list. No other short took me on a journey like this one did, and the stop-motion animation was the icing on the brainy, imaginative cake.

What was the logic behind Starcraft being in Division 128?

I still think Majora's Mask won 2010 on its own strength with maybe a slight bandwagon at best, not that it suddenly got loads of strength out of nowhere. It swatted aside Pokemon GSC, Wind Waker, and especially Metal Gear Solid 3 like they were nothing. Do not bring up Super Metroid in 2015. Super Metroid is just that good.

I believe I had Majora losing to Wind Waker in my 2010 bracket. My logic was that Traditional Gamecube Zelda would defeat Non-Traditional Second-Fiddle N64 Zelda, and boy was I wrong. The MGS3 beatdown was especially surprising, although a Zelda > MGS outcome was expected at that stage of the bracket.

Majora's Mask reaches the semi-finals on its own strength, the last two matches probably not.

FFX was rightly favored to win the bottom half of the bracket. It was the dominant FF game of the 2000s, and there's no debate about that. If FFX and Majora met in Round 3-5, I believe FFX would've taken that match to the tune of 52-48. The late-game circumstances swung this match for Majora.

And Majora definitely needed the Brawl anti-votes in the final. Melee vs. Majora would've been a very different story if it happened.

It still baffles me that, in 20 years of contests, we've only had two 1v1 Best Game Ever contests. Worse yet, the first one suffered from a flawed nomination process and bracket setup. And if you believe Undertale spoiled the second one, then the BGE contests never even approached their potential.

It's a shame because GotD1 was probably our best contest from an enjoyment standpoint. Strong contenders, no clear-cut favorite, tight matches, dramatic later rounds, the last two matches being decided by <1%, Majora as the unlikely champion, I could go on and on.

The Tales of series could benefit from fan numbering. If only because I forget a bunch of the games in the series actually exist.

Eh, I just feel like most of us have very few fond memories of CBIX. That wasn't all Draven, but it had a lot to do with it. Rallies aren't going to give these contests new life or revive the site, and they don't make things more unpredictable because CBX had plenty of surprises.

I really would have loved to have seen the winner of Chrono Trigger vs. Pokemon RBY against Ocarina of Time directly in that small window of time post-Wii U, but pre-BotW. If there was ever a time that GameFAQs would, on its own, choose another game over Ocarina, it would have been in that window of time that has long since closed.

Ocarina likely would've SFF'd Pokemon RBY (barring any major Pokemon rallies, of course). I know RBY destroyed Mario 3, but RBY/Ocarina are from the from the same era/year, and that makes a difference. That said, if RBY/OoT met in the final, you could potentially have a Majora/Brawl situation where Pokemon rides its momentum and "good vs. evil" narrative to a close victory.

Ocarina vs. CT would've been interesting. 3D vs. 2D, Nintendo vs. Square, N64 vs. SNES, Sprites vs. Polygons, Zelda vs. JRPGs, etc. CT could've potentially been another "good vs. evil" candidate by the time it reached the final.

Even though I don't like the notable rallied entries ('04 Starcraft, '13 Draven, '15 Undertale), I do like rallies and the potential threat of them. A strong villain can elevate an otherwise bland story, and anything that can convince me to root hard for Link in 2013 is worth it IMO.

Good showing for Youth. Seems like we are ok with "weird" ones as long as they're well done.

Even though I had Youth in my Bottom 10, I almost pegged it in the high-30s before I decided, "Y'know what, this one was too hard to follow," and dropped it to #46.

Of the 14 remaining, I'd say at least three fit the "weird" bill.

Yeah, I tried to be patient with Fata Morgana, but toward the end, I was hammering the button to speed things along.

I still need to check out the bonus content. Heard good thinks about the side stories.

Its good.

I think its a bit over hyped and isnt a transcendental experience or anything, but it does a good job of keeping you on your toes of where the hell is this going.

Basically my feelings as well. It's unique, but there are some major pacing issues on the back end.

My biggest non-spoiler complaint is the overabundance of "..." lines of dialogue. There are certain sections of the story where "..." is every other line, and I must've tapped the X button a few thousand more times than I needed to.
