I'll give ToS credit for never looking bad in a contest poll. That's fair. I suggested there was rSFF because that's when the weaker entry overperforms. Since ToS was the more traditional (swords & magic) RPG of the two, it became the Cube's flagship RPG, which I believe enabled it to rSFF TTYD. Wario Stadium and Toad Turnpike will likely be in it till the final five, judging by today's success. Regardless, this is gonna be great. I'd say Xenoblade gets 55%+ on TTYD because the Nintendo RPG fanbase sees Xenoblade as a landmark game whereas TTYD was just a great game. P4 or P5 vs. TTYD is tricky. Yeah, I would expect most of those to beat Ys in a series contest. The only ones from that list I could see Ys beating are maaaybe Breath of Fire and Disgaea. Mega Man/Castlevania can go either way. If Castlevania wins, it sets up the Metroidvania Bowl, which can go either way depending on how much of a factor Netflix plays (they're making a Richter show, so Vania is still relevant in that regard). Prime-related announcements could also boost Metroid. Xenoblade/Witcher is interesting when you factor in XC3 hype. It boils down to Nintendo/JRPG vs. GotD2 Runner-up + 2 games many Witcher 3 fans haven't played + Netflix factor. Persona/FFT could get interesting as the Battle of JRPG Spinoffs, but Persona should win en route to its rematch against either Xenoblade or Witcher. Imagine if Metal Gear's division had been loaded with Smash, Metroid, and Sonic. Things could've been interesting. There have been so many new series introduced in the past 18 years (not to mention series whose stock has risen/fallen dramatically) that BSE2 would be unpredictable. Pokemon and Smash Bros. would likely be the favorites, but think of matches involving Dark Souls, Metal Gear, Sonic, Mega Man/X, Metroid, Persona, Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Castlevania, Kingdom Hearts, Halo, Resident Evil, Xeno, etc. Also would like to see sleepers like Paper Mario, Chrono, Donkey Kong Country, etc. And, of course, who doesn't want to see Fire Emblem choke against Street Fighter or God of War or something? Though I almost never buy used games from GameStop, they ran a promo yesterday where if you buy four games priced less than $10, you get them for $20 ($5 a game). I decided to live dangerously and order a shitload. Here's my haul. All are on PS4 except for Dead Space (PS3). Some of these I already own and plan on giving to friends. The bolded ones I haven't played.
