I found one YouTube video about "the problem with Disney" that said TLJ was virtually indistinguishable from a Marvel movie and I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

This would make sense if they said Rise of Skywalker instead, given how formulaic that film is.

In terms of "dips in quality" I think it's important to note that One Piece is still far better than most other shonen in this regard. Like it's too busy and the Straw Hats don't get enough screen time, but it hasn't devolved into rushed nonsense yet (although a lot of fans seem to think Luffy's recent developments fit that bill - I disagree).

For me, the decline is largely due to how Nami is a nothing character now. To me, Nami is the second most important crew member besides Luffy due to her intelligence and attitude. Her terrible redesign aside, she just hasn't had a good moment in a long while. Even Usopp and Brook had their moments in Dressrosa and Whole Cake. Nami is just being used as fanservice basically.

I mean if one person says it's very bad and one person says it's very good, has anything actually been said? Not really.

You do acknowledge this, but this is just completely normal as time goes on. This is why family/coupling/having children is stressed so much culturally because there comes a point where people just don't have friends anymore cause of kids/work. It sucks.

Like i thought Splatoon 2 was really REALLY fun, particularly via local multiplayer, but I'm not super excited for this honestly. This is one example where like, maybe just continuously releasing DLC isn't such a bad idea

wasn't super engaged, but there's some nice subtle samus characterization here in her movement/behavior. super metroid is my fave out of the 2D's.

I mean they're (Phase 4 MCU) doing fine financially. Can't say I've really been impressed with the films though MoM seems to be the one to change that. My personal hype has died down, but I'm not claiming that's how the general populace seems to feel. Hawkeye is, in my opinion, the best Phase 4 project with What If and Loki close behind.

Finally watched No Way Home. It was fine. I didn't really care for the Raimi spider-mans, so I didn't get the bonus nostalgia kick a lot of people got from it. Definitely better than Far From Home, not as good as Homecoming. My biggest issue was probably the characterization of Dr. Strange. They made him seem incompetent for laughs I guess.

moonveil was definitely stealth nerfed with the first patch in terms of recovery time for the L2R2

Skypeia has always been really good. The main issue is that Enel's henchmen suck, so the fights themselves aren't that interesting. It's got some of the best humor/Straw Hat interactions.

The juxtaposition of normal anime humans from Phoenix Wright with wacky Layton humans is really off-putting. I know Phoenix Wright also has wacky off-kilter characters, but that's like once per game.

This is probably my least favorite thing about this game and GAA.

I thought Johnny Smiles was okay; he didn't actively bother me, which is saying a lot about later AA witnesses

once again, I think it's a DQ game with boring story on paper that deserves credit for its context and continued significance

didn't play the remake. the original starts really well, but definitely crashes and burns at the end in my opinion.

6 is really padded text-wise (an issue it shares with GAA 1&2). when it's good, it's really good. when it's not it's painful. the brevity of 1 is often to its benefit I'd say.
