The thing is Kyrie Irving was too shitty to get the Cavs to the playoffs in the East without Lebron's help. He's just not a #1 star, he's not. And I would not want that on my team. As a player he's fine, as a second or third wheel. But when he comes to play his failure hero ball in the West on a team with at least two players more capable of it than he is? No thanks.

There was a stretch their first season with the big 3 where LeBron went down for some time and he and Love went like 2-9 or something when LeBron didn't play

One of the first bands I knew by name. My older sister was a big fan of theirs, got their albums and got my mom to play them in the car. So all my siblings and I have good memories of their music. Sucks.

Tried to come up with an example of a situation where someone eliminates and gets eliminated, this took me like over a fucking hour to think about because I'm stupid so hopefully it's not wrong.

Guy A has 40 points
Guy B has 20 points
Guy C has 25 points
Guy D has 45 points

Match 1 is between p and q, worth 20.
Match 2 is between x and y, worth 20 also.
They all have the same bracket the rest of the way except for these matches:
Guy A picked p and t (eliminated in a prior round)
Guy B picked q and x
Guy C picked q and t (eliminated in a prior round)
Guy D picked j (eliminated in a prior round) and t (eliminated in a prior round)

If p wins match 1,
Guy A has 40 + 20 = 60 points
Guy B has 20 points
Guy C has 25 points
Guy D has 45 points

A wins against B/C/D because the rest of his bracket is the same as C/D so C/D can't catch up, and even if x wins match 2, B will have 20 + 20 = 40 points, which can't catch A. But note that D also eliminates C because 45 > 25. So D eliminated C but also got eliminated by A at the same time.

Just to show that all are still alive prior to match 1...

If q wins match 1,
Guy A has 40 points
Guy B has 20 + 20 = 40 points
Guy C has 25 + 20 = 45 points
Guy D has 45 points

A is eliminated by C/D because the rest of his bracket is the same as theirs so he can't catch up. B/C/D still alive.

Now look at B/C/D's picks for match 2 (x vs y). If x wins, B eliminates C/D. If x loses, C/D eliminate B and finish in a tie.

I would agree Celtics and Raptors are essentially the same in the regular season and I wouldn't be surprised if Boston got swept but the Raptors are perennial chokers in the playoffs so I just throw that comparison out.
