Woo, I just watched Koe no Katachi also. It was enjoyable and beautiful. It's ideas about human emotion and the way it's presented/conveyed, is just so well done that it feels wrong to try to compare anything else to it. And yea, definitely gotta read the manga sometime; I want to see everything story/character-wise fleshed out.

Not true spoilers, but related personal anecdote (about premise), When I was In 5 or 6th grade, in an non-exceptional public school, there was a new student who was kinda special (Looks weird, and intellectually slow)(In retrospect, I would guess she had fetal alcohol syndrome). She didn't fit well with the class, and related to how hard she tried to fit in and be a normal kid, my class including me ridiculed and effectively ostracized her. It reached the point where the teacher spoke to the entire class to be nice to her, but we didn't care and she transferred out or something eventually. Kids are horrible and animalistic. In defense of kid/mob mentality, she came off as a poser by how hard she tries to impress everyone, and nobody likes posers. Any normal kid would be ridiculed for being a shameless poser, so unironically, we treated her like a normal kid?

They got the sweet spot of complexion to remain flavorful, but still smooth enough to be easily consumable. Typical american or mexican brew are easily consumable, but really lack flavor. A lot of craft brews are complex to the point of fault; I always end up sipping them slowly savoring their flavor because it doesn't feel good to drink them with haste.

I'd like to amend my statement to say shows I watched recently that aren't drawn from another source.

Also, since those types of shows tend to be good, I might be interested in seeing it. how is Little Witch Academia? What's it about?

Little witch Academia utilizes the perks of animation, and has qualities like other Studio Trigger works. It's whimsical, and cartoony. It's style over substance, but I'm also saying style is substance. It's an oddball because the story/characters are to supplement it's animation, whereas most shows have it the other way around. This isn't to say that the story/characters are bad.

If you think about it, most anime nowadays are just forms of advertisement for the source material, be it manga, light novels, or web novels. Hell, there are even manga and light novels that are made just to advertise other mangas and light novels.

I don't think there has been an anime made recently JUST for TV without drawing from another source, other than Space Dandy and Kill la Kill.

There's always a few anime every season that has no source material. Some of the past year include-

Sakura Quest, Yuri on ice, technically gundam, Little Witch Academia, 91 days, flip flappers, Tsuki ga Kirei.



What are rarities, are anime that are made simultaneously with a manga. And then there's also manga adaptations of anime, mostly because of it's relatively low effort with easy profit margins while riding the curtails of success/popularity

that's not even getting into the adverse health effects gaming on a mouse and keyboard bring to the table.

I doubt the validity of that statement about Gears 4, but I know nothing about the game.

In the competitive scene for the vast assortment of FPS, there isn't even a thought given to using a controller. If controllers were actually better than M+KB, there would be at least some pros who would use a controller, but there aren't any that I know of.

Huh. Just watched ep 1 of sangatsu no lion and it just really did not pull me in at all. I found it a struggle to even finish the episode. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood or something since generally everyone seems to say its good, especially the first few minutes where nobody talks.

EDIT: the water was fucking animation porn though. Water doesn't look half that pretty in real life.

It's a slow paced SoL-drama show. Just know that the presentation is its finest quality. It rarely crams anything onto the viewer, and it's for you to digest it. Every episode adds something meaningful, but small in regards to the big picture, and that's how life is. That's why this show excels in it's niche.

If you can manage, I think a 5 episode test will show all the qualities that the show has to offer.
