So I finished S1 of Saekano,

It was a bit too haremy than I expected, especially towards the end, but I guess it was that kind of show to begin with. My favorite meta joke, is when a discussion about the VN naturally turns sexual, Tomoya dismisses by exclaiming that all content must be PG. Queue thoughout the show, moments when things get overtly sexual between him and a girl, and he "has" deny them.

I've been watching Saekano, since it's S2 finished airing last season. Boring/plain girl is amazing. There's a huge appeal to the juxtaposition between the other character's anime-ness and her lack of it.



I gotta gush about Miyuki Sawashiro being in fate/aprocypha. I couldn't ask for a better VA.

Also gotta gush about Saori Hayami voicing a MC in Kakegurui, a total nutcase/yandere for her passions.

The Insufferable Social Media Argument Podcast is two suicidal nerds screaming at each other for an hour I really enjoy it.

It's pretty good. It's not the most meaningful content, but it is entertaining usually. Their topics range from kinda meaningful, to totally inane, because it devolves easily and willingly, but they'll be putting in a vehement effort for the sake of argument. But know that they have a "Don't really give a shit" attitude, so they're never really serious.

What I watched of spring 2017.



Attack on Titan S2 - I liked it better than the first season. The flaws of the show haven't changed, but since I expect it and it can't be helped, it doesn't really bother me anymore in a jarring way. A few really good episodes somehow makeup for it's other mediocre episodes that are weighed down by it's flaws.

Sakura Quest - AOTS. 2-cour to boot. A cast of 5 adult, young women. PLEASE anime, I want to see more shows with casts like that. Very grounded SoL with equally grounded characters and themes. It has a very consistent tone that can bend for any mood.

Alice to Zouroku - It's alright. It's kinda unique, but there's nothing that interesting.

Danmachi prequel - It's alright. It's just more Danmachi, but subpar.

Tsuki ga Kirei - It's good. Actually kinda refreshing to see a romance whose drama is entirely focused on developing the characters and their romance.

Sakurada Reset - Jojo died for this. I kid, but it is upsetting that David Production worked on this instead of more Jojo. This show proves why when you have a duo of main characters, you don't give them both stoic personalities. I'm behind on the show, but I've heard the later episodes are more interesting, and that the start was an unavoidable atrocity.

Little Witch Academia - 2nd cour. It's good. Pretty simple/template story/character conventions, but it goes to show that animation and direction can carry a show.

Seikaisuru Kado - It's good. Strictly Sci-fi, and I enjoy that. (metaspoilers)Though, in the last 4 episodes, the show kinda jumps the shark, and then jumps the kraken. What a deux ex machina, but somehow, I'm not bothered by it because the direction of the show already veered off so hard



What I haven't watched of spring 2017, but still interested.



Boku no Hero Academia S2 - It's going to be 2-cour, and I haven't watched the first season yet. I'll wait.

Saekano S2 - I just started the first episode of S1 now that it's finished airing.

Eccentric Family S2 - Will watch soon, I'm certain this itches what I like, and hopefully exceed my expectations based on it's praise.

Granblue Fantasy - will watch for the waifus, and apparently very popular and successful in Japan.

Quan Zhi Gao Shou - Heard it's good, also very unique premise.

Re:Creators - 2-cour, will wait.



But I'm not done yet. What I'm watching for summer 2017.



Owarimonogatari S2 - Yes, more monogatari.

Fate/Aprocrypha - Yes, more Fate universe stuff. Hopefully these spinoffs retain Fate's values and have their own values to boot. As an aside, I really liked how Kara no Kyoukai is connected to the Fate universe.

Ballroom e Youkoso - I heard the manga was good, and that it's in good hands for a good adaptation.

Kakegurui - I'm watching it for it's mystery intrigue I think.

THE REFLECTION - Stan Lee. It's going to be interesting seeing both Western values and Eastern values here. Though, I'm a bit skeptical because weird things happen when these philosophies mix. It's a toss up made for failure, mediocrity, or success.

Konbini Kareshi - Studio Pierrot, known for doing tons of shounen stuff. The only thing I've seen done by them is GTO, and I think It's interesting to see them do a SoL original.

Katsugeki Touken Ranbu - I haven't watched any ufotable stuff recently for reasons, and I really want to watch something by them because they're awesome.

Shoukoku no Altair - Uh, historical anime about Persia I think? There's rarely any anime that depicts that area of culture (Which I'm interested in), so I'm interested.

Saiyuuki Reload Blast - It's got a Josei tag for some reason, and there's more cultural stuff? Uh alright, I'm aboard.

So I powered through fuuka, a really average/bad show. It's basically all drama, which I usually like, but none of it was compelling. The things that kept my attention were that the character designs were cute, and that the show was riddled with actual stupid pointless/poignant fan service shit.

Also, it's controversy, which is why I watched it in the first place (actual spoilers)Apparently, in the manga, the author straight up killed the main female character out of nowhere with a truck, and then went on to develop the story about coping with loss. In the anime, they teased the audience with the truck nearly running over the female lead, and then went on with a milk toast, high school drama story. I'm assuming that they chose to go this route because the sudden death really upset the manga readers.

saw Koe no Katachi movie the other night, it was okay, I thought itd be alot better frm its rankings on MAL but it was forgettable. All I will remember it by is "that one anime movie with the deaf girl in it"

There's a lot of meaning strewn through the film. To any non normie, it's almost guaranteed you'll find something that you deeply touches you. This is why it appealed to such a large audience. Also, for an emotional anime, It displayed a hell lot of it without being overblown; That's why I find it an outstanding anime.

On an remote large island in lake superior, scientists have studied the population dynamics between wolves and moose for over 60 years. There's normally two dozen or so wolves split among 3 packs on the island, and they came when an ice bridge forms to the mainland. However, due to climate change and severe inbreeding, the population is now down to 2 wolves with no wolves incoming.

The two surviving wolves are father and daughter, and they both have the same mother. The daughter has aggressively rejected all advances from her father/brother to procreate.

in 1997, an ice bridge formed to the mainland, and a single wolf immigrated to the island, effectively becoming the ancestor of over 60% of the wolves due to his superior genetic stock over his inbred community.

Since the wolf pair has negligible effect on moose population, the scientists have been focusing their efforts studying the dynamic between fir saplings and moose, since fir saplings dominate a moose's diet, and the moose population is on the verge of collapse from overgrazing within a few years.


It has been confirmed that they'll introduce around two dozen wolves to the island in 2018 or 19 to keep the study going.

Well actually, an airline ticket is a contract between you and an airline to get you to a destination. It's called contract of carriage. There's a bunch of crap that the FAA enforces that the contract must have, and then a bunch of crap that the airline does as they please.
