No. Everyone has their standards and this one hits the bar for a lot of people. If I found out that an employee at my child's school spent time in prison for child molestation, you better believe I would demand they remove him or I'd pull my child out and let all the other parents know why. You could argue that it's petty because he would have obviously paid his debt to society, but I don't give a fuck. That person will have opportunities to influence my child, even if he doesn't directly harm any student. If he were a teacher, like this hypothetical porn actress, then he would definitely have moments where he might try to justify and normalize his stupid ass deviant behavior. And like I said before, you can be fired for saying something someone finds offensive on Facebook or a tweet, so it's hard for me to feel sympathy in this case.

You can't just chop off my sentence in the middle like that, and then expect to not alter the context. I mentioned population growth, food production, resource consumption and so on. What big change are we making in those areas that will have a real impact on mitigating climate change? Recycling cans? Cars made out of metal and plastic that sort of run on electricity? I know the US military has robust goals to minimize their carbon footprint, so that is encouraging. But a lot of countries don't care, as well as a lot of individual citizens not caring.

Does it really matter if they believe in climate change or not? We are not really going to change how often we reproduce, how much we eat, how often and how far we traverse the world, how dependent we are on various utilities, and so on. Do you think the government is helping to fund these schools by giving them coconuts? Maybe, just maybe, they are giving them US dollars collected from US taxes.
