Wat, I actually like 5e. It's the most rules simple version of DnD yet. The less rules the better in my opinion. Like you gotta have them for some games, but it's pretty damn good.

Right but like I said if you want to say work towards being a pro or just want to play in most tournaments and compete, you need cards to build decks and to be good at draft. Sure if you want the cheapest route to tournaments then draft is a good way to get there, but that is a format that probably favors the veterans even more than constructed does.

You can just have fun without trying to be a professional, a you know that, right?

702.60a Split second is a static ability that functions only while the spell with split second is on the stack. “Split second” means “As long as this spell is on the stack, players can’t cast other spells or activate abilities that aren’t mana abilities.”

702.60b Players may activate mana abilities and take special actions while a spell with split second is on the stack. Triggered abilities trigger and are put on the stack as normal while a spell with split second is on the stack.

I can see why they didn't keep going with that ability. Seems like it could get confusing as fuck.

Don't worry, you can flip a morph in response to a card with split second though! Flipping a morph is a special action.

Yeah, the whole meme that Gordon Ramsay is an angry dick isn't really justified, that's mostly American TV shows. If you see him in other stuff, like his recipe videos, or anything else, he's actually pretty damn nice.

For the card Spontaneous Mutation, it says that "enchanted creature gets -X/-0, where X is the number of cards in your graveyard". Does this mean the -X gets higher if more cards are added into the graveyard, or does it stay the same from when it was cast?

Yes, any time a creature's toughness goes below 0 from counters or -X/-X effects, it dies as a state based action.

Now, this also means is that even if it were indestructible, it would still die. Which is the only way to kill them sometimes.

EDIT: State based action basically means it happens and you can't respond to it (you can respond to the creature getting those counters though).

So, I was reading a Navy textbook, and it mentioned an office that I could order a naval chart. Does anyone know if a civilian could order one of those? Or if it's it's a good idea, because I could easily go on some sort of watch list from that.

Cows need to be pregnant, then give birth and be nursing to produce milk. So dairy cows are artificially inseminated and kept reproducing. With factory farming they take the calf away within a few days (if its even that long) and the calf either goes on to produce milk when it's grown if it's female (though she may be bred to not be a good producer and just slaughtered for meat), and males are sent to be veal, or is sent to a feedlot and later killed. And the cow is inseminated again within 3 months.

Not really, after the cow gives birth the first time it's given the hormone that makes it's body think it's still pregnant (which is where people complain about hormones in cows) so it produces milk until it dies.
Raising cattle exclusively for slaughter just isn't price efficient enough, it takes a lot of feed and time to get a cow to slaughter (I believe it's three years), so they just don't do that.

PCs are the most extreme sides of everything, the best graphics, (arguably) the best games, and the most extreme problems.

MtF should absolutely be banned because they're taking supplements designed to make them less efficient soldiers. However, FtM should be preferred over female recruits because their hormone supplements will make them stronger and therefore more able to serve effectively.

No disagreements that we have learned things. However, modern medicine is re-learning the importance of diet as the foundation of health.

If you do, don't take vitamin supplements, because there are some dietary things you're missing out on.

Personally though, going vegan seems hard, mostly because shopping must be an unbelievable pain in the ass the while figuring out what to get.

It's actually only about like $30/month post-surgery for MtF, and $10/month for FtM for the medicine (double without healthcare).

I've been picky though and only joining groups I think are good. So maybe, that's why I've been lucky.

I think I did find the secret for finding a constant group though: games on the weekday. They're almost always professional when it comes to setting things up, and holy shit it's nice sometimes.

Which is not to say that every player needs to be speaking in their character's specific voice and acting like they're in an improv theater class, but when I ran games I always expected even the meeker players to at least be "I do this," "I say this," and generally try to be a bit more immersive. You should see your character more like a character in a story than a token in a board game or a collection of optimal build stats in a video game.

I'm actually the same way, but more lenient. Like if a player says, "hey, I'm not too good at the social stuff, can I get some help?" every person at the table gives suggestions, great. Also if the player goes, "I just want to roll a persuasion to get past the guard", I want at least some sort of angle of why it would be OK for the PCs to be allowed past the guard, most people can handle things in the abstract.

That's also part of why I can't just roll up stats and start playing a character in 20 minutes - if you want me in a game you better give me a good overview of the setting and give me at least a week to come up with a character concept. Because I'm probably going to give you back multiple essays worth of backstory.

While I understand the appeal of this, I think too much can absolutely be a detriment. Every paragraph you add solidifies your character before the game actually starts, and while that can work for certain games, you can easily run into situations where you need to change the character's personality to either act as a foil to someone/everyone else, fill a void, or anything else that needs to be done on the fly.

Though when it comes to voice chat games specifically, if I'm literally the only one not on a mic I'm more likely to drop out (or not join in the first place) mainly because I feel like it makes me the disruptive one, and I'm more or less trying to avoid making the game less fun for other people. I'd rather whoever was running the game just find someone else to take my spot who is willing to play the same way as everyone else to help keep things running smoothly. I'm not really egotistical enough to feel like the entire game should revolve around me and my preferences.

Just give it enough time for the second arc, and things are smooth sailing.

My friend is like super MASSIVELY into it. She cosplayed Taako at a con recently.

Yup, my gf really liked it as well, she was planning on cosplaying as the Void Fish.

I, personally, think it's good, not great (and I have been having some bigger problems later on), but it's damn good in certain places.
