Exactly. I'm pretty sure there's still dozens of file-sharing sites that have AM2R hosted somewhere.
And me I'm actually pretty happy about this. Instead of Nintendo simply putting AM2R into a cartridge and calling it done, they're actually making their own version that's radically different, so we're getting two different Metroid games.

There still tons of file sharing sites that have it hosted, plus torrents which are close to impossible to get shut down. It is very easy to find.

This whole thing is beyond silly. First, Nintendo has to defend their intellectual properties. They absolutely have to, due to how future lawsuits could come back to this instance if they didn't. Second, as someone else stated, they waited until the fan game was actually finished finished before sending a C&D. Third, the first screen in the game is about supporting the franchise by buying the games. The guy that made it doesn't even accept donations. He wouldn't give any information so people could donate to him, and has stated that if people liked his fan game, then go out and buy the products from Nintendo and support the franchise.

It's like these nerds have literally no understanding of how the world actually works.

Sometimes I like the motion controls and sometimes I just want to use a proper controller. I think my arm just gets fatigued if I play the Trilogy for a while, which makes me like it less. But having all 3 games on one disc is pretty neat, especially since you can play it at 480p.

L4D2 didnt run at 1080p. Nearly every game on the 360 was 720p or sub-720p.

I'm more interested in seeing the effect a wide wage increase has on the cost of living. More money isn't going to mean all that much if you have to spend more money on necessities. If employers suddenly have to pay all their employees more money, wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that the business is going to raise their prices of whatever they're selling, to help offset the cost?

I would actually love a MGS that isn't directed by Kojima. Take the gameplay from 5, expand on it however you want, focus on fun objectives and missions while trying to keep the repetitive structure to a minimum, get rid of open world, focus on fun level design and smaller sandbox levels, hire someone that actually wants to tell a story or knows how to tell a story, and make sure the team designing the game understands that this isn't a MG game by Kojima so they can be creative with it and not feel like they have to stay true to the mythos.

I believe that was more the publisher's doing. The rights used to belong to 505 Games until Starbreeze managed to reclaim it, and they rolled back on those BS microtransactions pretty much immediately after that

Overkill certainly tried to blame it on 505. I don't know how true that was though, and I'm not one for taking much stock in what they say. Regardless whoever decided it, Overkill is the one that caught flak for it. Once they bought the rights from 505, they made the decision to change it so players get one safe per week that they can actually open (without paying for it). Which was a good decision and probably helped distance themselves from the whole microtransactions fiasco.

The 360 and PS3 version barely had any content compared to the PC version. Not only were they barely updated, but they dropped support for those versions as soon as they announced the XBone and PS4 versions. They changed how fast you level up, compared to the previous gen versions. It's much faster on PC. It's actually not a bad game on the PC, but there's a ton of paid DLC (that really feels like it's pay2win), which can turn people off. Plus, Overkill has stuck their foot in their mouths more than once, and really damaged their reputation with their hardcore fans.
