Bloodborne is fantastic - I'm playing through it right now.
I did not like Nioh at all and wouldn't really suggest it. It's Dark Souls with somewhat tighter combat and none of the atmosphere, level design, enemy design, story, bosses, or general "charm" of the Souls games. The more I played Nioh, the more I realized that the combat was not the main reason I played the DS games.
