I beat Horizon last week and it was decent. The game is actually pretty shallow and really doesn't do anything noteworthy, except the machine battles. Those are a lot of fun, and they're the bread and butter of the game. The weapons, mods, and loot have no depth to them. The skill tree is tacked on and feels like a last minute effort. The sidequests are fetch quests and the characters that give them are boring, and droll on about stuff that is so completely uninteresting.

On the plus side, the game world is gorgeous and shooting machines is a lot of fun. The story is a bit interesting, only because they keep so much of it from you until the end of the game. They only give you bits and pieces to wet your appetite early game. The payoff is less than stellar, but it's not bad.

If you haven't played FF12 before, or your really into RPGs, then get that. Otherwise, Horizon is a decent game.

It has more to do with the popularity of the spoiler than the age. Something mainstream like Darth Vader being Luke's father, or Aeris dying in FF7 are known by everyone on here. Someone dying in a book isn't as well known in pop culture, especially considering a lot of people don't even read books nowadays.

I feel like most of the people that get mad over this are usually the ones that constantly break the rules and have their messages deleted. Then they cry about it when they see another post stay up, for what they perceive to be the same infraction, but it's usually milder compared to theirs and they're just looking for the attention.

My mother coaches kids tennis. She'll dock points from players for bad behaviour. Shouting, throwing rackets, getting angry - all stuff that's a big deal in kids sports. This is even standard in adult games, so I don't know why you'd be surprised. Bad sportsmanship is bad sportsmanship.

You can't send the message that acting like this has no consequences to someone in their formative years. And this is a certain level of insidious that needs to be nipped in the bud. Getting hotheaded on the pitch is one thing. Sending out a deliberate "f*** you, losers" is just horrendous.

kids can watch pretty much any popular American sport and see much worse behaviors during the games or in the news. Players faking injuries, cursing at each other, cursing at the refs, hitting the refs, stomping on quarterbacks etc. And you hear stories every year about an NFL player who beats his kids/gf or is found with drugs and a gun.

A punishment is normal for behavior like this but cutting them out of their spot is really petty.

Well, so what? Just because some adults throw tantrums doesn't mean we should stop trying to teach decorum to kids playing sports. Actions having consequences is a hugely important lesson that needs to be taught to youngsters, and this was a perfect example. Pinky is spot on.

I think the idea is that it can lead to harassment. Chances are, if a user is going out of their way to hide behind another identity, it's for a reason (to troll, avoid being labeled by their main, etc.). There's really no good reason to make that information publicly known.

You do get guns, but no AK. They're pretty sparse early game, but once you get to the new town, they start dropping like candy. They also attract virals when shooting, so the game really encourages you to not use guns.
