I use a script to block those messages, and if that doesn't work, I'lll spend a minute using the element picker on Ublock origins to get rid of it. I don't appreciate people making money off of me, and those "pls turn off adblock" messages just annoy me even further.

Yeah, it's really not the store's fault. There's no excuse in this digital age, not to be informed and educated about decisions you make. She puts blame on the store, but she and the kid's parents are to blame for being ignorant. A business has no obligation to make sure customer knows every detail about what harm may befall them; that's the individual's responsibility.

It's tragic and I feel terrible for the family, but they really didn't have a case. Asking for $20 million probably didn't help either. That's really excessive.

IDK, Rogan has said multiple times that the way he acts is really how he is, and he's known him for like 15 years or something.

I just read an NBC article about this that said Jones allegedly pays 43k a month in child support already. I don't really care one way or the other, because I don't watch him, but it sounds to me like his ex-wife is vying for full custody, probably so she can get a bigger check each month, and his lawyer is saying whatever he can to try and convince otherwise. The media has ran with this story though; I've seen it on multiple sites the past few days.

It's not that hard. It's like a bicycle that weighs a lot. You really don't have to balance that much; once you get going a bit, the bike wants to stand up by itself. Low speeds is a bit harder, and you definitely want to spend hours in an empty parking lot balancing on the bike at 5-10 mph.

Shifting gears is pretty easy to get a handle on, you just get used to it the more you do it. Leaning through turns is a bit scary when you're new, but it's one of those things that the more you do it, the more comfortable you'll feel. You can lean the bike much further than you're going to feel like you can.

If you live in a subdivision, or have easy access to low traffic roads or parking lots, then definitely spends some time there getting comfortable with your bike before taking it out in traffic.

Anyone play Remember Me? Looks like a combo stealth beat em up with the fighting like Batman or AC. Worth the $5?

Got it with a Humble Bundle, and tbqh, I found it really, really boring. Only played it for a few hours before I called it quits. The combat isn't anywhere close to Batman or AC. It's way more shallow, and there's practically zero depth to it. You only do the same 1 or 2 combos every battle. There's very little variety.

The story wasn't even that interesting either, at least in the first few hours of the game; can't speak for the rest. And I was also rolling my eyes at the dialogue constantly.

You should check out some gameplay on youtube, as you may find it interesting, but I personally I found it so uninteresting, I wouldn't even recommend it for 5 bucks.

It's a good start, certain users wouldn't be happy unless the CEO killed himself and all profits from the company are given away. But I'll wait and see how they address this on April 30th.

People have already seen their initially "apology", if you can even call it that. United doesn't care, and the only reason they've issued another statement is because the amount of negative attention they've gotten over the past 2 days. Plus, notice how the apology only comes after their stock starts to tank. They didn't give 2 shits yesterday. They can start to make it better by immediately and publicly changing their policies about overbookings, especially when your butt in firmly planted in a seat on the plane already.

I hope United and the Police department get sued into oblivion. This isn't how you treat people, and the only thing these corporations care about is money, so they need to be hit where it hurts.

Also, anyone played Thief? Elsewhere at the mention of Dishonored, someone suggested trying Thief.

I enjoyed it for the most part. It's a lot of fun to sneak around and steal stuff. There's definitely some valid criticisms of the game (like the map, most houses feel like closets, the super serious Batman vibe), but I think longtime fans of the Thief series were looking for any reason to hate the new one.

I've played and enjoyed all of the Thief games over the past five years, and while the new isn't as good as the first 3, it's still a decent stealth game.

I get why they overbook, but it seems like they could get better at figuring all this out. I don't think I've been on a flight where they didn't have to pay people out to take a different flight. And then that flight is probably overbooked too.

From what I heard, they stopped at a few hundred bucks. I mean they could have shelled out more to prevent this.

Article says $400 vouchers were offered first, then $800. That's pretty standard as far as airlines go. My sister was recently offered $500 and then $1000 on a Delta flight.

The issue here is that all the other airlines aren't going to let people actually take a seat first, because there's not much you can do when somebody is already sitting down, as they showed.

Didn't watch the video, but if the people that forcibly removed him were security, and not cops, then he has a pretty good chance at lawyering up and getting a settlement. Basically, this group has released some NSA tools and encryption key to prove they're who they say they are. This is their way of condemning Trump's handling of Syria and other issues. If you follow the first link, it has their written message to Trump explaining it further, as well as the actual dump of the tools. The poor grammar in their letter is probably intentional, and a program such as Anonymouth was likely used to prevent it from being stylometrically analyzed.

My point on snopes vs the others was that it actually does fact checking compared to the others that mainly report news. It seems odd to be using news sites as fact checkers especially when they are known to not display all the facts.

For CNN and Washington Post, they have listed "CNN Reality Check" and "The Washington Post Fact Checker", which I'm assuming are just specific sections on their websites dedicated to "fact checking". Curiously, the listing for New York Times is just "New York Times".
