Ah, but could I skip forward to 4 without being totally lost? I just really hate the damn 'suspense' thing they started drumming up in season 2 with the oh no is Doakes gonna find out what Dexter is and spill the beans on him, omg, and how long are they gonna dance around each other, and how long until Dexter flubs up and his gf figures out he's cheating on her. I hate that kind of tension in media.

Probs not.

Lots more I can't think of right now.

Oh yeah forgot about Supernatural.. I stopped after the Leviathans thing, forgot which season that was.. Our a season later. Honestly preferred the first seasons, when it was a different monster each episode, and not just the same thing for a whole season.

That was the worst season. They've been consistently climbing in quality ever since. Starting with season 11 or so, they realized people love the monster of the week stuff so they have a really healthy balance of that and story episodes. The MotW episodes this season have all been quality. Hell watch the imaginary friend episode from season 11.

I liked Dexter up until they solved the Icetruck Killer mystery. Tried to keep watching past that twice and could not get into it. So I just treat it as a very nice single-arc story. Though the pilot was really the best out of everything, and I could've just done with that.

I ain't sayin it was garbage, but I strongly lost interest.

I always really enjoyed the whole Ice Truck Killer arc. You'd probably enjoy season 4 as well.

Honestly I'm tired of those IT guys being all uppity with their "ticket systems." I don't tell someone at work to submit a ticket before I help them.

Ticket systems are used to show proof of work. It's a way to measure how the IT department spends their time and also what the most frequent issues facing users are. If you see the majority of your tickets consist of account lockout then you look for a solution like allowing users to unlock their own accounts. That frees up IT to work on their actual projects rather than babysit the helpdesk all day.

It also covers the IT techs ass. If some user (someone like you) comes stomping over to his manager saying your ticket has been opened for an hour and no one has contacted you, the tech can show his manager that he has been busy working on these 4 tickets that came in before yours rather than just sitting around not working.

Side note: if you only interact with your friend when you need him to fix something of yours then he isn't your friend. You are just one of those problem users that we are nice to but complain about behind your back.

Thanks for the supportive posts though. It really does help. I really needed to just say this shit, even if it was to random dudes on CE, just to get it off my chest.

Had the same thing happen to be with a gf of 4 1/2 years. Her "happiness" is a fleeting thing. She'll eventually do the same thing to that guy that she did to you. If anything you should feel sorry for him.

Don't blame yourself over this. If there was something you did in the relationship to make her unhappy, she should have communicated it to you. The fact that she didn't is all on her. Cut contact, remove her from Facebook, burn any of her things she's given you. Just isolate yourself away from her.

Like someone else said earlier, focus on your life and improving the quality of it. Make new friends, find new hobbies, be the best you can possibly be. Learn to love yourself and being single. Leave her and her messed up relationship issues in the past. You'll find someone better down the road. That's what happened to me. The next gf I had after the cheater became my wife and we're going on 3 years strong.

This is what happens when you better yourself. You work out, get into new hobbies, attempt to get into social situations rather than avoid them. Your social skills improve and your confidence explodes. Women(people in general) see this and get pulled towards it.

I never bothered trying to find one in the first place, and I prefer to keep it that way. Zero upsides and endless downsides to romance and sex as far as I'm concerned, and I'm completely undesirable anyway, so it's not worth the time or effort to even humor the idea of companionship.

So because you feel you're worthless and lack any ounce of self confidence, you decided to construct all of these reasons that relationships are pointless to justify your lack of effort in getting a gf. That way you being single is your choice, not anyone elses. Good job buddy.

If you only ever say that negative shit, that's all you'll ever amount to. Say positive things instead, and put actual effort into meaning it when you say it. And then go and take actions that will help you achieve your goals.

Example. Instead of "I'll never own a home" say "one day I'll own a beautiful home, fuck yeah!" And then go out and work and save some of your paycheck each month. Research investing. Start a side business. Seek promotions at work.

The puppy literally waits until we're inside to poop and piss

he's a douche

He's smelled where he's went before and thinks that's the bathroom. He doesn't know any better. You need to clean the accident spots with strong cleaner so they can't smell it anymore. Then be patient and continue praising when he goes outside.

Lost has things I'm critical of and some things aren't explained properly at all, but at the end of the day, I never understood what people THOUGHT a "good explanation" would've been for a giant malevolent sentient pillar of smoke

There was always gonna be some "this is how it is because this is how it is" to it. The island, the monster, Jacob, etc., we learn who and what they all are and for some reason people were expecting like a scientifically sound answer or something. Plus the vast majority of characters remain very good throughout and the ending will make me bawl like a baby without fail every time.

This. Most of the mysteries were explained but the answers didn't live up to people's expectations which....isn't necessarily their fault. The hype and theories during its run were massive. No answers were going to be acceptable at that point.

The ending often confuses people and leads them to believe Omg they WERE dead the whole time!. That's not the case. Case in point the poster above me. "I didn't understand the ending so it was stupid!" What sort of dumb logic is that? I did have to find the wiki for Lost to have a few things clarified for me. Make sure you find the Epilogue episode online afterwards. It's not on Netflix but it explains a couple mysteries including some about the polar bears.
