Makes sense she wouldnt say spikey haired jerk to anyone except Cloud. But at the same time, Ive never waited that long in the game to get her - thats fairly late in the game to be recruiting her. Id be furious if I found out that my interstate drive (3 hours of total driving, plus surely waiting at the fields to see if the game is playable) was cancelled due to a firefighter having a pissy fit over a baseball in their lot. And that was just that one team - who knows if there were others that had to drive further.
