I agree with 2-3, but as 3 had the first "modern" games, 6 saw the removal of the biggest remaining limitations. There were still some limits that affected the type of game that could be made, but most genres could be pulled off competently without running into an inevitable hardware wall.

Well for one thing the 3DS is a legacy device and there's no practical way for it to output to a monitor or record footage from it for most people

-It's smaller
-Slightly more storage (1TB vs 825GB)
-The version without the optical drive supports buying one separately
-There are 2 USB-C ports on the front instead of 1 USB-C and one regular USB
-There's no upright position device included

In Japan the older games were Ninja Ryukenden and the modern ones were Ninja Gaiden, so at least from that perspective the anniversary makes sense.

So it's like how Like a Dragon was called Yakuza in the West until 7, when the series switched genres and main characters, but in Japan it was always called that.

Maybe it's like the Metroid Prime series, if it was called the Metroid series

I should try the minimap in the field. Tracker is kind of a pain in the ass because it's hard to see the cardinal directions.

A hard 3D beat-em-up. Kind of a Roguelite structure. I've increased how far I've gotten in it but it's very hard.

Iron Man was in MvC2, and I would have to say he was more recognizable at the time than a Spiral or Silver Samurai.

At least using AI is more ethical than having your factory staffed by a bunch of indentured servants from the jungle

I don't know, it's convenience versus reliability. PS2 emulation has always been pretty touch-and-go for me, but I need an HDMI converter just to hook up my PS2 to my TV now.

Barret, at least with ranged weapons, is very much a support character. You switch to him to use burst and hit specific distant targets because otherwise he just holds a button to shoot.

Let this game release first at least, but Infinite Wealth is RPG of the year unless something tops it.

It seems to have been just tossed out there by the publisher without QA, an announcement or patch notes and it's still presumably the last one because the remaining dev team was already fired several months back. Neat.

I think the issue with the Switch version is that it would have been 30fps which is problematic for a rhythm-centric character action game. Not that it couldnt run at all.

TBH I'd call that a dealbreaker

That was one of the rumors. HFR originally planned for Switch, but cancelled because the Switch couldn't run it. Which isn't a surprise, since it's an Xbox Series exclusive, not available on XB1.

It's extremely well-optimized on PC but I guess there are limits. Too bad, but at least we've got a PS5 version.
