Well, Trump was fined a lot of money, but he just steals it from somewhere else, skims it from GOP campaign funds, or has his cult send him more.

That's what makes it so appealing for the wealthy to be criminals under our current system. Break a law and the fine if less than the amount you stole - but if a poor person breaks a law they set bail too high for them to afford, often exponentially higher than the cost of anything stolen.

Stochastic terrorism is another way to look at it, where a conservative with a platform can say something inflammatory to the public. They didnt tell one particular person to hurt someone, but if they do it enough, many/most of them are saying this inflammatory thing, then eventually it affects people in the population to act on that.

Being conscientious of how we contribute to society, what are those effects, being responsible with platforms and media that reaches large numbers of people.

The perfect example is the Daily Wire promoting wildly inflammatory and bigoted rhetoric about LGBTQ people, and even promoting misinformation about hospitals to the point where Daily Wire viewers were sending in bomb and death threats to those hospitals - because of a "gotcha" call with a receptionist where after being pushed and pushed and frequently telling the troll they really need to speak to a physician directly.

My advice to you is seek out particular Japanese publishers that focus on games where girls are unashamedly sex objects. Now I personally don't have any problem with sexy depictions of women in games... I happen to enjoy sexy women... but I'm wise enough to understand gaming is the most mainstream thing ever now, and it's not here to pander to just horny straight guys who are playing video games alone for the most part.

I remember playing some Xenoblade Chronicles 2 off by myself during a family holiday and my sister comes by to ask me something (we're both adults) and I was so embarrassed at the cut scene that happened to be playing out with several of the more big-breasted female characters acting really dumb... It was an eye opener because the whole game I'm playing by myself or maybe another dude of my age and interests around.

I like big JRPGs with loads of systems and flashy stat based battles, I personally don't mind the overly sexualized female characters in that game, but it kinda distracts and detracts. Have you seen Pyra, Mythra, and some of the other women in that game? It actually looks weirdly off proportion.

As with every other problem in game there are two culprits which are to blame in different capacities for each problem:

• Greedy clueless corporations
• Shitty entitled toxic players

Aside from natural disasters or other major global events that effect everything else anyway, all problems in gaming always come down to those two groups.

Yeah, what you are describing here is an American populism that was born out of the last few decades of growing income inequality and then solidified after a series of financial industry crashes and bailouts created through greed and incompetence.

Both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders tapped into this populism, but unfortunately America picked the fake populist with a gold toilet in his exclusive golf resort none of these rank and file MAGA voters would be allowed to set foot on, even in their nicest clothes.

But this conservative populism, which does share some values with the far left labor movement and other legitimate organizational populist movements on the left... also has some key differences: Right wing populists are extremely xenophobic and want to cut off most of all immigration from poor or non-white countries as an example, while on the left the labor populists think we solve immigration by making jobs have appealing and livable wages for native born citizens, instead of a second class labor force afraid to speak out against employee abuses driving down wages.

It's weird how this sentiment always seems directed at Democrats, as if they were the ones unwilling to compromise, as if Democrats don't repeatedly attempt to negotiate and make deals. Compromise and cooperation might be the optimal strategy for getting things done, but there's only so much bad faith, performative, backstabbing bullshit that can be tolerated before that strategy is off the table, and I'd argue we hit that milestone decades ago.

I think it's because republicans have been lead around by the nose by the worst people in media, religion, and politics... and they are now completely divorced from any ethical obligations to truth, intellectual consistency, patriotism, or basic humanity.

You can try and defend the "official" platform and say you just want lower taxes and "state's rights" - which has also been shown to be a fair weather belief - but the rest of that party is embracing religious extremism, white nationalism, bigotry, misogyny, chaotic foreign policy, embrace of dictators, anti-science, and so many more bad positions.

This is so common. So many places I worked you meet people that worked at other places together, and bounce from one low paying job with no future to the next.
