Doubt that Ryzen 5 and 8gb of video memory is keeping up now days. But I will say that PC prices were a hell of a lot reasonable then. I will say in your case I can understand but you still paid $600 dollars more than a base PS5

i bought a PC in mid 2019 for $900 that has been able to play everything up til now on high or highest settings. literally not a single game has made me think "geez i need to get a new PC" yet

yeah i smell bullshit. I built a PC with a 1070 for around that price and time. That PC couldnt handle Cyberpunk at medium settings back in 2020.

I was researching new PC stuff throughout January and early February, so I watched a lot of videos on youtube. I watched four or five of this kind of video until I realized there are always massive catches that they downplay, like getting lucky on the used market or handwaving glaring shortcomings of the build.

Thats why I cant stand PC gamers and pc gaming, its pretty disingenuous what youll actually spend for a constant gaming experience.

I have a 4080 with a 48 inch 4k LG monitor. Is it amazing? Yes, but it also cost me around $4000 once its all done. A PS5 is $400 (not $500) and can comfortably play what you need.

PC Bros are legit the worse and cant admit that PC gaming is way too expensive in comparison to console gaming.

Out of consoles Ive actually own, the Series S is by far the worst. You could store 3 games before space limitations. Then if you wanted to upgrade the space you were paying over 200 dollars at the time making it both more expensive then the Series X and PlayStation 5.

Just to put that in perspective, Call of Duty is the biggest gaming franchise and makes around 400 million in revenue a year. In order for Microsoft to make that money back from Call of Duty alone it would take them around 160 years to do so.

Their game division is slipping and theyre paying a shitload on developers and studios and these studios are draining money from Microsoft.

Honestly would be hyped if they left the console market and just become this mega 3rd party/gamepass provider. I just dont think there is enough room now a days for 3 consoles, game streaming, mobile, and PC on the market

Its probably just too expensive to develop these games and just hand them out on GamePass. Microsoft probably made some bad moves just throwing billions at these developers without a gameplan on how to recoup the money.

Yeah it was brutal. I dont even think at that point you are allowed to go back and grind if I remember correctly.
