Out of curiosity, what was your motivation for having it done?

I mostly moved on to Reddit, because this place was not doing wonders for my mental health with every other topic being about Trump, Musk or one of their buddies making the world a worse place to live in (though I get the impression that amount of topics may have toned down a bit).

Aside from that, I do feel this place has become less interesting since the hornyban. Still, I guess I still tend to go here if I feel like talking/reading about general stuff that doesn't belong in subreddits I follow.

I live in the Netherlands, and although I reckon it's not quite as bad as in the U.S. here yet, I do think it's on the way, especially considering pretty much any meaningful effort to solve the problems that affect most/all of society have been delayed and/or diminished due to (populistic) rightwing parties aiming to please their voters.

On top of that, so far the Dutch government seems to roll over to anything Trump tells them to do (which might have a little something to do with the former Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte being the current NATO Secretary General).

Like it or not, the POTUS still has a lot of influence in what happens in global politics, even if everyone in the world knows that POTUS happens to be an deranged lunatic. There has been somewhat more talk that Europe should be less dependent on the U.S., though so far it doesn't feel like it's a priority.

Oh and we recently had a collapse of the coalition, which was led by a populistic right-wing party, the popularity of which has barely diminished. They did to agree to Trump's demand of every NATO country raising their military spending to 5%, but where that money is supposed to come from? They'll leave that to the next coalition.

Honestly, I've been depressed about this among other things regarding the state of the world since November, as I realize how much of an impact these things make and how long it would take to recover from it even in ideal circumstances.

I still manage to get through daily life well enough and keep up my job, but I pretty much lost hope, as well as motivation to make something of my life (i.e. career, dating, home improvement, etc).

Anyway, personally I suspect people from all walks of life might make use of that service. Maybe whether it's legal or not in a country plays a part as well, like I can imagine people being more casual about it if it is.

1. You can sell an escaped slave party member back to his master for no reason (tiny payout too)
2. You can keep a barely legal female naive slave who will obey all orders no matter what.

Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain

With all the other LoK games you could argue that any morally bad things you do is actually for the greater good in the long run, but in Blood Omen 1, Kain is just callous, and doesn't shed a single afterthought to the people he kills, whether it's to accomplish his goals or just to feed on/kill a random human, sometimes in creative sadistic ways.. He very clearly has selfish motives and literally states that he doesn't care for the fate of this world.

As for the two possible endings, although the good ending is a selfless act in which Kain sacrifices himself to restore balance to the world, the bad ending is in fact canon, and much more in line with Kain's motivation and personality at that time.

Honestly, I think Zack Snyder's Justice League (the four-hour version, not the mediocre cinema version) was quite impressive, almost on par with Watchmen.

This. Everytime I think I've seen everything there worth seeing, I pass/fail yet another skill check I haven't experienced before and end up in tears from laughing at the result.
The most recent example was failing a red check when trying to run away when Garte presents you with the bill.

There is no such thing as a movie being 'so bad that it's funny'. You either like it, you don't, or you just don't care for it much. It's perfectly ok to enjoy a movie that isn't a deeply thought out intelligent high-quality masterpiece.
In my opinion, people who frequently laugh overly loud at how 'bad' movies are likely never grew out of that teenage phase where they think a movie is either the best thing ever or worst thing ever.

2001 A Space Odyssey is a boring film and is too cryptic for its own good. Honestly one of the worst films I've ever seen.

A lukewarm take at best, and most definitely not ridiculous.

Jill, it's dangerous. There are terrible demons, ouch.

If I had to pick one favorite game ever, this is it. Opinions may vary of course, but if you like WRPGs that work with shades of gray as opposed to good vs evil, I highly recommend this.
Also, although there are a lot of good mods for it out there, it is stable and enjoyable enough on its own.
