Technically "aggressive" panhandling is illegal in California and was temporarily banned in Illinois before a judge overturned it. Nowhere has outlawed simply sitting there with a sign but they have tried to ban panhandling when it crosses the line to harassment.

It's my favorite movie of all time, but calling Togo the real hero doesn't sit well with me. All of the dogs and runners were heroes.

Agreed, I should change that in the op. Every single person and dog contributed in their way to delivering that serum, and they all deserve recognition, and I liked that the movie showed it all, from the native Alaskan helping seppala to the alternate dog team and runners supporting each other. It was honestly heartwarming story

No, no it isn't. I didn't know this but Togo was the true hero of that Alaska serum run story from 1925, where a man and his team of sled dogs transported medicine in time to save kids dying in a village in Alaska.

The newspapers at the time and the 90s animated movie gave all the credit to balto, but it was really Togo who did most of the work.

While balto did end up being the dog who delivered it, he literally Just traveled like 20 miles, while Togo and his owner played by the incomparable Willem Dafoe went the distance, 200+ miles back and forth.

I was not expecting to like this straight to Disney streaming movie as much as I did. It went from "this movie is growing on me" to "ok I actually teared up just a little"

Live action Black Lightning was decent.

Had some of the typical bad DC drama and some out-of-place heavy-handed nonsense (the example that still sticks out most to me is girl shows up late to an important strategy meeting, immediately starts blaming toxic masculinity or some shit), but was otherwise solid.

I've actually been meaning to watch that show for years, and I did eventually see like 2 maybe 3 episodes... but I feel like the moment's passed. Stargirl was also praised as was superman and lois, but I feel the praise was meant more for "as a show for the Smallville demographic"

Ironically they both had lame endings for completely opposite reasons:

Brotherhood's ending was so ridiculously saccharine that even disney would need to check their glucose level. I felt second hand embarrassment just watching it.

FMA... fma's ending literally had me get out pitchforks and light torches to storm the village in rage. Like the last few episodes were already heading down a path that made me nervous, but that ending was rage inducing. That decision was enough to take back any praise the show previously had.

Meh, all these topics the last few years with this opinion would have made me feel a lot more vindicated if they existed 14 years ago when I was the only one stating how much I disliked and was disappointed by brotherhood and how much better original fma was. And was flamed to hell and back again for it.

Since then I've softened on brotherhood, recognizing it as the generic shounen that it is and not faulting the show for it (that lies with the author for doing basically nothing with the homunculus concept that the first anime tackled mostly better)

And it's not like I don't recognize the heavy faults with the original fma. They exist, and I had so many ideas to improve them. There are even minor concepts from brotherhood that I thought were neat and could be incorporated into the original to make it the perfect anime

Could a persona 2 remake really make the game any good or worth playing? Because I tried the psp port 10 years ago and... yeah, it was not fun to play, not fun to play at all. Even though I really wanted to like it

I've replayed the game in all its different forms too many times 10+ years ago. But I am curious if they made it easy to Max social links without strictly following a guide timetable like with p5 and p4g, which gave a lot of extra days to max s-links. Original p3 was notorious for its very limited days and limited schedule, I think I barely did half by the ending first time I played
