I feel like we're finally catching up to the slow-turning "aircraft carrier style" course of the gaming industry. The latest batch of big Live Service game attempts have pretty much all failed in miserable fashion (as anyone could have predicted).

Maybe now we'll get fewer trash games that are obviously doomed to fail.

If your food is more expensive during high volume times and lower during low volume times, it's surge pricing. Flavor it up all you want but it's the same thing.

But if it's discounted from the baseline rather than increased from the baseline, that's not a price increase.

The whole idea of tipping to supplement underpayment is crazy.

But waiters who whine about not being tipped enough are some of the most annoying people on the planet.

What was the actual quote from the initial statement? Because if clickbait journalists added the "surge pricing" terminology all on their own, that would be pretty egregious.

Of course it did. It just didn't have the kind of shield projected from the forest moon.

It had ray shields at the least, given that the mission briefing specified that even the exhaust port is ray shielded, hence the need for torpedoes in the first place.

I think a million+ ships would be enough, though. A million is a lot.

It detracts from the agency, moral clarity, and legitimacy of some of the most important people in history, people who stood up for causes absolutely knowing they were going to die for it.

I feel like there are people who did it with dignity and poise who were very much of sane mind when they did it, yes. I also think there has been at least one person (the guy in this topic) who do it on an impulse and left behind two children because he was extremely unwell, mentally.

Made the mistake of getting married, first of all.

There are dozens of logical inconsistencies with zombies. They make absolutely no sense. For example, it's obvious that their bodies don't heal--rotting flesh, faces half fallen off, etc.

So, without healing, your muscles and tendons would break down very quickly. They're constantly renewing. Within a few days of movement, zombies would become completely incapable of moving their bodies due to deterioration.

You just have to assume that zombies are driven by magic-science and have absolutely no logic behind their capabilities.

Okay, but the people who have a strong sensitivity to this kind of thing are probably already aware of the goings-on.

It's been a huge discussion for months now. This guy didn't raise awareness of an unnoticed issue. He just added a headline into a sea of other headlines that already existed about the subject.

It wasn't worth it.

I like how it has become a sort of automatic instinct for people to recognize AI-generated text. It didn't even take that long.

Yes, but in those cases it was meant to draw attention to an issue that was largely being ignored. The situation over in Israel isn't really being ignored so I'm not sure what this guy thought he was going to accomplish.

People will see this, say "wow, that's fucked up," and then keep scrolling. These actions will not produce any new activists.

It was silly and really easy to use against him by his opponents. It made him seem less serious, I think is the prevailing explanation.

In a well adjusted and intelligent society, it wouldn't have mattered.

Buy some plastic ones. Airsoft guns are made for those, and while they can pinch and sting and break the skin at high enough speeds, they're not nearly as dangerous as steel bbs are.

Why are you shooting steel bbs and not plastic air soft rounds? That's literally the point of airsoft lol

Any game that allows you to simply "lose" hours of your real life time, as punishment for playing the game, is doing it wrong.

I can't imagine what content they would put in a movie. Two hours of run time will barely scratch the surface of the Naruto world.

I think with two hours they can start more or less with the Mizuki bit, the bell test, then the Land of Waves for the rest of the movie. If they're good about it.

Oda worked with the Netflix One Piece, and that turned out pretty strong overall. I'd say that's definitely a silver lining.
