They're aware of the infection of the bite that will kill you, and eventually turn you as well, yet every Zombie film/show I've seen, they would have the zombie's blood splattered all over their face, soak their hair, and on exposed skin, and have that shit dry out on them. How the fuck they never get infected from that? Especially when they have wounds on their hands, face, and so on? Never got that.

What always weirded me out is, how the fuck is a zombie sneaky? They're not trying to be stealthy. If you can't hear a zombie shambling towards you, you deserve to get got.

People can't hear trains, what makes you think they'll hear slow shuffling?

Anyway, I know from experience that people literally don't hear or don't pay attention to honking horns. I drive equipment in a warehouse all day and am constantly honking my horn at people who aren't paying attention and they don't even look around at their surroundings. People will walk backwards in heavy traffic areas and be shocked when they turn around and see a vehicle in front of them.

I always wonder how zombies get out from their Graves.

Like you're underground, in a casket, and then inside a vault. How do they get out?

Sometimes they're portrayed to have superhuman strength and able to rip humans apart with ease. I usually assume that's the case in a movie where zombies manage to claw their way out of a grave.

I accept that if they shoe such athleticism throughout the film.

All too often the same zombie capable of ripping and lifting tons of earth and rubble are unable to bust down doors, drywall, and housing brick. If you cam dig up a grave from underground, you can throw a car and rip a building apart.

One thing I never understood about zombie movies is, what are they going to do once they take over the world? Because eventually they're gonna run out of brains to eat. Did the zombies think that far ahead? They'll just starve. Not very bright if you ask me.

They usually don't have goals beyond eating. There's no endgame they're working towards.

Does 28 days later count as zombies? Something similar happens like TC described

It did in Walking Dead. The comic at least. I can't remember if this happens in the show version. But in the comic when Rick first meets Glenn in the city and they get out together, they make a plan that involves covering their entire bodies in zombie gore to smell like a zombie and go undetected. But they can't touch their faces during this, or they will het infected. And Rick says his nose itches. They wash it all off when they get to the camp I think

Yeah that's true. There's definitely a lot of inconsistencies in a ton of zombie movies and shows.

There are dozens of logical inconsistencies with zombies. They make absolutely no sense. For example, it's obvious that their bodies don't heal--rotting flesh, faces half fallen off, etc.

So, without healing, your muscles and tendons would break down very quickly. They're constantly renewing. Within a few days of movement, zombies would become completely incapable of moving their bodies due to deterioration.

You just have to assume that zombies are driven by magic-science and have absolutely no logic behind their capabilities.

in all fairness if they have come back from the dead their body may not be held together by the same rules anymore

How do they know where people are. Like say the Zombie movie when people are stuck in the Mall. How in the heck did the Zombies now that they were there.

To be fair, early on they make a pretty decent amount of noise, firing guns and such. The zombies themselves make noise which draws more there. Plus they would frequently go up on the roof and shoot at the zombies playing "games". The survivors pretty much made it a point to make it obvious they were there instead of just chilling inside and being quiet.

What bothers me the most is that uninfected people suddenly treat them like they're monsters and not diseased humans. Like there's no compassion that they're bashing in the skulls and blowing the heads off sick people. They almost seem to enjoy killing people in zombie form.

In most media...the person is dead and some how there body is still moving. Killing dead people with that much joy is still irked

another point about how zombies know where people are, it seems logical that zombies could have the faintest memory of life driving them to where humans would go. like an instinct directing them to buildings, cities, malls, etc.

I saw a really dumb movie called Zombie Apocalypse. Total garbage B movie, that for some incomprehensible reason Ving Rhames. He must have been drunk or stoned when he took the role. It had a few concepts that other movies/shows should borrow. Such as, new zombies are fast, they smell really bad, as in the characters complain about it, and over time the zombies congregate into large herds.

In Dawn of the Dead a character says they must be going to the mall because it was an important part of their lives.

What I didn't think was real is how people would get bitten and not tell anyone. But with covid we see ppl would 100% do that .

If a zombie becomes trapped, for example, by falling into a pit and then nothing it can eat ever falls in, will the zombie eventually starve to death?
If a zombie is submerged in water, will it drown?
If a wild animal eats a zombie, will it become a zombie too?
A zombie's flesh is decomposing and possibly infested by maggots; so would not those maggots "kill" the zombie by eating its flesh away?

Another thing.

If a zombie decides to make you a blue plate special, when do you turn into a zombie? Like, they bite you, you get infected, and then eventually become a zombie. If a zombie is chowing down on you, at what point do you turn into a zombie and the zombie stops eating? Or do you reanimate and the zombie keeps eating and now you've spawned an entire new zombie genre that are cannibals....? I'm so confused!

Anyone that Marvel GN where the world is zombified, and the heros/villains keep their salience as zombies. They are starving when Galactius showe up. They think they will never finish his corpse, but they do.

Are they stupid?

The World War Z book does a pretty good job with these questions.
Like in one scenario, people holed up for the winter, and then when spring got close, they went around bashing zombie heads in because they were still frozen, but they would eventually thaw out.

I read an explanation/theory that most survivors have permanent hearing damage from all the gunfire without using hearing protection. Makes a lot of sense.
What doesn't make sense is how they wouldn't smell them

It's the same logic as to why slasher villains and most monsters also get away with a lot of nonsense.

It's for a good story is all.

I dont know how true that is, I never used hearing protection and I used to go through a couple thousand rounds a month as a teen.

My hearing has always been better than most people and still is.

Having recently read it again myself, splatter does not matter in TWD. What you're referring to does happen, but it's just a precaution Rick and Glenn take as they know nothing about the virus at that point.
Slightly beyond that it's confirmed that they're all infected with the virus and dying in any manner would have you turn. It's just that the zombie bites are especially good at killing you.
Then there's also the scene of Tyrese in the prison gym where he singlehandedly took out a few dozen zombies using melee in a fit of rage. They find him sitting there just covered in blood and gore. Doubt he had the presence of mind to cover his face at that point.

These all depends on the story settings.
Most of the time, they just keep living until they are killed, no matter how long it was since their last meal.

Most of the time, underwater zombies still lives. Heck, Uncle Scrooge was once hunted by a zombie that walked underwater for 50 or so.

Most of the time, animals feels that they should stay away from zombie meat. But yes, we have had animal zombies because they ate zombie meat.

The maggots turns zombie.

Zombies are magical, and the normal laws of nature don't apply to them. Its why trying to "science" it never works.

They eat because they want to, not need to. They seem to never need anything, or fall apart. Just keep going on.

I liked the explanation True Blood gave for vampires, and it kind of applies for anything supernatural.
