Yeah ok. I don't think Rebirth is a better game than Remake (aside from the combat), but it is more game to love, I guess. This is part of why I'm more than happy if Balatro wins. Rebirth and even Metaphor, while while being extremely good, don't feel exceptional like their predecessors did.

Now, if one of the JRPGs up for GOTY was Infinite Wealth, then we'd have a debate.

There's 0% chance Balatro wins. It's not the right "type" of game to win GotY at the Game Awards. It wouldn't fit TGA's "image". Like how comedies can't win at the Oscars.

Ordinarily I'd agree, but I think Balatro might have the best shot of any indie that's been up for GotY. It would make headlines, it's extremely accessible so it likely has a high playrate amongst whoever is voting, plus given the CDPR and Larian crossovers it seems to have at least some major industry approval.

Hell, Cyberpunk 2077 got an update the other day to add a Balatro sidequest to the game, and CDPR is out here literally selling Balatro merch. That's insane.

imo balatro is best mobile so Switch or phone or Steam if you have a deck is the best option

I wouldn't be surprised either way, but 2-3 years is a normal amount of time in advance to announce a game!

I'm certain there was overlap, I'm less certain that there's been basically zero movement on P6 or that Atlus intended for Metaphor to "replace" a Persona game. If anything, Persona 3 Reload, the game that Persona team actually worked on, would be what's holding back P6.

IDK I think this is normal internet stuff...people like to blame gacha games for "buying" votes...but while that's definitely part of it, that category is dominated by "which game has the most terminally online fanbase" for a while now. That just happens to be like every gacha player. But that's also why Wukong is getting crazy support everywhere, that's also why the runner up to Genshin a few years back wasn't Elden Ring but Sonic Frontiers.

Oh yeah I completely forgot Clara. Who I have at E1, so probably not worth much. You're probably right that it's Bronya though. I've pretty much dropped Seele so I don't play Bronya much anymore, but now that I have Aventurine and E0S1 Topaz, she probably fits in my Ratio team since those two carry debuffs for the most part. Not planning on Sunday and definitely not going in on Sparkle lol.

140 pulls is crazy. I currently have just enough to guarantee Miyabi, that alone will guarantee me her wengine as well and hopefully still give me some leftover for whatever support they're about to drop.

I would assume one of the damage-heavy ones like Moccus would be your best bet. I don't think there's been much brainpower spent on optimizing Bangboo. If you're going in on the Yanagi/Miyabi team, then holding out for Gulliver might be really good because it increases anomaly buildup.

It's almost certain Miyabi will be getting an S-Rank support in the future anyways which won't work with Lighter. But it's good to have options

Well the good news about this is the reset period looks to be 12 weeks, so until the end of 3.0. I'm assuming with the weekly bonus that should be plenty of time to max the whole thing. Anyone starting in 3.0 is probably SOL though.

Funny enough for me I missed an entire SU expansion between G&G and this, won't be doing that anytime soon lol

When's the last time they had new voiced content? It could be related to the strike that's just now wrapping up. Genshin has been dealing with it for three patches now.

Well from those videos it looks like Remembrance Trailblazer is a solid substitute for him and is only 1 cycle slower. Though that also means you can't use Harmony TB, and Robin is also doing a lot...F2P support situation is looking a little dire.

For the wet rock team you're likely better off focusing on one on-fielder: either Noelle or Navia and replacing the other with Xilonen, who can heal for Furina and buff everyone's damage with hydro crystalize + scroll set, which is kind of insane.

For Arlecchino that team is like, fine. A bit awkward because she also likes Yelan and Xilonen too. I often run her with Yelan/XQ/Zhongli, for example. Diona is a fine replacement Zhongli but Layla is probably better since she can't get healed anyways. Or you can forego shields and run an anemo or Fischl for overvape, taking advantage of Oz snapshotting Bennett buff.
Character kit leaks
Citlali looks like she'll be a good support option for Arle too, since she has a shield. Though how much better she is, who knows.

Blonde girl looks cool, might go for her. Summon is kinda creepy but not in a bad way.

edit: She's Lightning? WTF, I would have guessed Imaginary. I guess that's fine since Ratio is still carrying and my only Lightning DPS is Kafka who seems to have not changed at all since 2.0. But MHY's electro mommy obsession strikes yet again

Xilonen does subjectively feel very low-impact even though she's not. Compared to Kazuha, for example, he feels a lot more satisfying because his plunge and burst are flashy and are fun to do. Even though her buffs are extremely similar there's not as much going on visually for her besides the faint glowing aura.

Just finished the game today. I really enjoyed it! I'd probably put it on par with P5.

One of the highlights of the game is the English dub, which is fantastic across the board. I absolutely love those European accents. Everyone sounded great, with the notable exception being the protagonist. He sounded like a total fucking dweeb, which bothered me way more than it probably should have lol

Endgame
After the reveal there's a line or two with the protagonist speaking with the Prince's voice and I was soooo happy it was going to change but then it goes back to normal. I cannot believe that's the decision they went with

I wish whatever generation you select changed the boot intro, PSX is a classic but you gotta have the PS2 cubes

Jade was the last unit I pulled for lol. Although, I'm only sitting on about 100 pulls so between her, Himeko, and 4* twirl time, I don't feel super pressured to pull for THE Herta. Though I'm sure those two are about to fall off big by comparison.

My roster is pretty dire and I could probably make use of Firefly or a second limited Harmony, but at this point I should probably just wait for 3.0, huh.

Rina is super bad unless you're running a Shock team or have her M1. Ellen really likes Lyacon (or Lighter) so not using him if you have one is leaving damage on the table. Looks like the blessing for this round of Shiyu really incentives Stun too.
