A bit overblown and overstated. It's not a good movie, but reviews are glorifying how bad it is a little bit. It's more of a shrug your shoulders affair I felt, perhaps I am difficult to offend in the realm of cinema. There have been much, much worse films that never get the spotlight on them though. Again, I have not seen this yet because I'm not confusing Sony by giving them money for this... But I love me some C and D horror movies. I believe you do too. For me, there 100% is a wraparound effect where some movies can become so-bad-they're-good for one reason or another. Everything I've read so far seems to say that this thing only inspires apathy, which (to me) is the worst of all worlds. It's bad in all the non-fun ways and just cripplingly nothing in all the others. And yeah this one definitely has a bigger spotlight on it because it is Marvel adjacent and Sony wants these to become a thing. It's Sony's fetch. The game really hooked me with the goblin camp, because I accidently triggered everyone to go hostile and it was an absolute shitshow getting out in the best way. The underwater prison was probably the most unique fight, but frustrating as all hell. The Grimforge Golem was an all out war, mostly because I didn't realize you could drop the hammer on it until I got the achievement for not using the hammer. Divinity 2 is great, but I can't imagine playing it after bg3. I'm sure it feels so dated I booted it up the other night and it definitely looks like a step back, which I guess more correctly BG3 was a giant step forward.
