LMS, I am going to ask you nicely to be quiet about things you have never experienced firsthand because it is quite annoying to listen to you pontificate about things you know very little about. In fact, it is one of my pet peeves when people try to act knowledgeable when they are not. Watching an LP is not tantamount to actually playing games. Obviously, the right thing to do is to tell Gatta to quit whining and do what he's told, but sending him to his death results in a better scene, in my opinion.

Choosing Gatta's Fate was just eliminated. My thoughts: It's kinda neat to have a part of the game where one character will die depending on the decision you make, even if both characters are minor. I personally prefer sending Gatta off to his death because it's kind of chilling when Tidus finds his body on the battlefield and tries to touch him, but then his body falls over. Plus, I like Luzzu's reaction at Djose Temple better than Gatta's.

But still, a pretty small moment in the grand scheme of things.

and in the aftermath you fight Seymour.

In the aftermath, Seymour fights with you for one battle. You don't fight Seymour until much later.

I don't even remember who Gatta is.

One of the Crusaders you meet in Besaid at the very beginning of the game, along with Luzzu. He or Luzzu dies during Operation Mi'ihen depending on what you tell Gatta to do.

she already explained that she thought it was the last battle she was eliminating.

Irrelevant. Seymour Omnis is still a ton better than friggin' lightning dodging. The only things you should eliminate in favor of lightning dodging are chocobo racing and butterfly catching.

Besides, after you literally eliminated something good in favor of lightning dodging, you don't get to criticize anyone for their end round save choices!
