better? probably. cheaper? probably not.

i really enjoy doing the polls in some of these topics here on CE, and i think if i could filter out the non-poll topics, that would be pretty neat. but that's just like, my opinion man.

there is zero space for either a mounted roll or a stand in my tiny bathroom, so i had to go with unmounted (it has its own place on the stand over my toilet though). over wins it otherwise.

i can't remember exactly when i first got the subscription but it was in the N64 days (1999 maybe?). definitely used their guides for random games, but not metroid.

fun fact: sometime after the gamecube came out, i managed to get in the magazine with one of those "caption this image" contests. the email had my mom's name which was what they printed, but it was pretty cool seeing my contribution in there.

Thank you! I saw your post about the Myst games, and after playing the Myst Remake a while back I've been on a walking simulator/point-and-click kick lately. Literally just installed Riven and now wanna go through all the Cyan stuff.

Edit to reflect game as a key

Im surprised NA didnt take this one. The EUs background doesnt do it any favors

that's what i was thinking. the washed out art direction hides the mid 90s CGI art pretty well making it look more appealing

Been loving the casual story based, puzzle solving games lately and would like some more to check out. FPS style games without death are preferable, but I'm open to games like Amnesia or Still Wakes the Deep (the latter being on my wishlist). Also, Point and Click isn't really my jam, but The Fall, Stasis series, and The Silent Age were all super good imo. Willing to try something like that if it's more sci-fi themed.

Here's what I've already played that's tagged as a walking simulator on Steam:

and some on Epic:

For as good as Vice City and San Andreas were soundtrack-wise, I gotta go with GTA IV & its DLCs as my favorite OST of the series.

i actually just watched it a couple weeks ago. it's a great series, but band of brothers is just too iconic to put the pacific over it.

The first game in the series not the series as a whole

guaranteed very few people voting no read this part. great gaming coming off of medal of honor AA's success in the WWII shooter market. being able to aim down iron sights was incredibly cool at the time.

i remember my Dell laptop could barely run it on low in 2007. the PC i built in 2008 with an 8800GT got me playing it at medium/high settings and did a great job when i bought another card and SLI'd it. then the GTX670 in my 2012 build allowed me to play it at high settings with high fps. only took 5 years lol.

i got some for my birthday and xmas, but i did the whole store credit song and dance at gamestop with all my n64 games back in the late 90s. i probably went through over 30 games and ended up owning only 3 before the gamecube came out. wish i wouldn't have done that.

i don't really care about the taste of the 4 major fast food pizza brands because its all pretty similar. i have good memories of all of them. minor blogfaqs for my favorites over the years:

late 90s/early 00s: Domino's (my dad would order it once a month when i was growing up)
mid 00s: Pizza Hut (i worked there and got some crazy discounts)
late 00s: Domino's (did the 555 deal in college all the time)
early 2010s: Little Caesar's ($5 hot n ready as a single dude was pretty awesome)
2014-2018: Papa John's (local AA baseball team had a deal where if they scored 5 runs or more you'd get half off your order)
2018-present: Domino's (carryout special during and before COVID was great and it's still the deal to beat)

Have you done this every year since it came out? I love the game, but I feel like I would get bored playing it every year. If you don't, then more power to you! Voted VtM:B btw.

instead of taking 'normal' recipes and substituting in vegan versions of things, seek out recipes designed to be vegan from the start. those work much better

wife is a vegan, absolutely agree. i posted my favorite vegan recipes on here a while back that all do exactly this.
