Were the games actually any good?
I know they were the benchmark for testing your graphics card for years, but I don't think I ever heard anyone talk about the quality of the actual games.
It was fun. Pretty open sandbox game where you had tons of routes for dealing with objectives. Physics was also really fun to mess with too. Guard in a guard tower? Shoot the support beams and watch it come down killing all the enemies under it too. Lead a bunch of enemies over a wooden bridge and shoot the ropes sending them all falling to the water.
Crysis 2 was linear and not as good. Crysis 3 was slightly more open than crysis 2 but not as open as crysis 1. As far as gameplay the first was definitely the best.
No clue if the remastered port is worth it. I last played this game over 10 years ago. My laptop at the time could run it maxed at 60fps 1080p with FXAA. 2012 Alienware with a 7970m.
