See I wouldn't because for example if you took the Japanese characters for Dugtrio and translated it literally into English letters it would be "Dugtrio." However if you then translate "Dugtrio" back into the Japanese version of those letters it becomes Dagutrio or whatever, but that feels like too many steps for me. They did, but it's a different word in Japanese. It appears that for whatever reason, they didn't make the name ACTUALLY "Dug" and "Trio" in Japanese, they specifically made the Japanese name a literal translation of the english "Dug" and "Trio," if I'm understanding it correctly. For all 35 names, they intentionally made them translate to the exact same name in both Japanese and English.
