I just think it's funny how CE criticizes the super wealthy for getting there by exploiting people, but when offered the hypothetical chance to set themselves for life guilt-free or potentially become super wealthy by exploiting people we're like "ooh yeah, that sounds nice".
Well, yeah, I mean theres never been any doubt in my mind that like 95% of the people here who are all eat the rich! would never part with a single cent if they were the billionaires LOL
So would anyone complain if I used the 80% discount like this?
I buy every single house I can get my hands on that has either been foreclosed or abandoned.
I refuse to use the coupon on the labor and materials necessary to fix the house.
I sell the house at market value, and take the money to do it again. If anything, all Im doing is increasing the total number of homes available in a given area and making them affordable to people who could actually use them.
I know it will have a negative effect on the cost of housing, but I have to wonder if the positive effect of having more homeowners and fewer foreclosed properties would mitigate that to some degree. And like I said, my contractors and supply chain people get paid without the use of the coupon, so they make their money.
And I wouldnt use the coupon for personal use. I imagine Id be pretty rich anyway, and wouldnt need it.

However, you should keep in mind that real money is being lost on everything that you're buying for 80% off. For instance, buying a house for 80% off could easily bankrupt someone who's not so well off. The stock market will also feel that 80% off to some effect depending on how active you are with that.
The coupon automatically works on everything. Once you pick it, you can't choose not to use it.
