I don't want to talk about it, but I got fired once at a job I spent two hours working at.

One of my jobs ceased operations, but otherwise, nope
I know it sounds kind of odd for me to say this about myself, but you should know that my mood changes with the wind.

once, I called out 3 times in one month. Once because my car broke down and twice for being sick. Per policy they fired me, but gave me a good reference to my next job and I had a new job within a week.
I am awesome and so are you.

Not for me, but a lady who had been there 10 years called out for a week to take care of her adult daughter after they got their wisdom teeth removed with nothing happening to her, so I guess I wasn't special enough?

I got fired once because of something stupid.

I was searching for another job and one of my coworkers told the boss about it. I was fired before I even got to put in my notice.
Apparently some places will terminate you on the spot for putting in a two weeks notice too...

I think they do it to screw you up. Because it can cause jobs to not want to hire someone who's been fired. But most jobs ask for a reason, so you can explain it to them...

Also, if you don't have the new job, it can mess you up because you might need the money. And now, you're missing out on two weeks worth of pay...

there was once when my dad sent me over to a pizza place for a job. the guy seemed to think he could train me to run the entire place in 1 hour. it was a pretty lousy experience. when it was obvious that I couldn't instantly learn to do everything, I just left. probably counts more as quitting, but that's the closest.
I kind of wish I had. I could've squeezed more money out of them that way instead of abruptly quitting.

My first job was brief, disastrous, and didn't really count, and I don't like to talk about it.

Oddly enough, that also describes my first girlfriend to a T.

Once. Worked in an internet caf in a rural village when I was 18 or 19...

Two boys of about 14 kept verbally abusing & threatening me, incessantly, over the course of a week, so on the fourth day of this I finally told them firmly to knock it off or I'd tell the manager. They didn't, and I did, but he fired me for not being willing to put up with it (he wasn't much older than I was, and in retrospect I found out one of the boys was something like a nephew of his).

Given that I had (still have) PTSD & wasn't far from a nervous breakdown, I think I was better off getting out. That was something like 13-14 years ago.

The caf didn't last very long after that, in fact, partly because most of the adults who might have used it weren't happy with his allowing those teen relatives of his (yes, there were several, but my run-in was only with one) to run riot the way they did & mouth off at people and lie to him about it. He was so ignorant he always believed his family no matter what, so.

The other main part of its failure was that it was in a village, so most of the people who wanted internet access either already had it at home or were willing to go to the library in the nearest town (the town being where many of the residents worked, as there wasn't & still isn't a lot of available employment in a village of 5,000 people). The main reason I started going there was that I had to share the PC at home with my family, and I kept going because the espresso etc machine they had made lovely hot chocolate (I learned to use it, of course, which was when the guy hired me, as it'd been just him doing everything up to then.)

I don't miss it!

I got fired from Walmart at the end of 2016 after having been there for 5 years. I had used my vacation to storm chase, but I went without a car and couldn't get back in time (it was a hurricane that hit in the middle of nowhere), so I ended up staying through two of my shifts until I could get home. I repeated it again with Hurricane Matthew in October, and a few days later I got fired. I had two weeks off leading up to Matthew, so I honestly think they were already planning to fire me, but me nonchalantly going storm chasing again instead of inquiring about my schedule sealed the deal.

My life started improving drastically afterward, though, so I don't mind.

Four times. Twice for economic reasons (in a recession, it's not unusual for it to be a case of "last in, first out"), once for "disciplinary" reasons (advising the Sales Director to shove it up his shitter until it fucking choked the piss-worthless life out of him, and then promising to piss in his fucking rat mouth before the paramedics arrived), and once for "we're sorry to hear you're not entirely happy with your move to a different department, so we're sacking you" reasons.

quit once and laid off's only.
Two and a half times.

First from a Target distribution warehouse. Deserved it. I was young and just goofed off all day.

Second from a lumberyard. Deserved it. Another employee and I got into an argument, he threatened to shoot me, so I spit on him thinking it would provoke him to fight, but he just ran and told a manager that I spit on him.

The third half time I got hired to stock shelves at a Target. This was across the country from the warehouse job. Well, I got hired just fine, but HR kept asking if I ever worked for Target in Colorado, which I denied, but I knew it was only a matter of time before they pieced it together and fired me, so I just stopped going to work.

laid off, but never fired, ok?
Twice. Once for making a joke about bringing in liquor to work, and once for taking too many sick days.

Believe it or not, I'm actually a fairly good employee who hates missing work.
But I'm just asking for a female perspective

Outback-flipping out on the assistant manager
Pizza place-flipping out on the manager

I tended to work jobs I hate for people I hate until I hit a boiling point and flip out. My current job I've had four years and management treats me well and I like my customers.

I worked as a cashier at Target as a holiday helper during December. They said if you did good you could stay. What they really meant is "if you push enough stupid Target credit cards, we'll keep you".

I hate pushing credit cards on people, so in January, they "let me go".

Once from a call center job that I absolutely hated and was about to put in my two weeks the day that the termination came down.

Kinda. I was asked to not return. The company didn't need any more staff anyway so eh.
