No, they just think that the Japanese/Otaku culture is superior and want to enjoy it in their own way.
Many people I have talked to over the years have called me a weeaboo for my rare use of Japanese and periodic acclaim of Japanese media, but overall I really only watch Dragon Ball and the rare Miyazaki movie. To this day i still think Grave of the Fireflies is the best animated movie of all time and that Japanese culture is amazingly complex.

Not in itself, but I do think that those suffering from certain disorders are attracted to weaboo culture at a much higher ratio compared to otherwise mentally healthy folks

No, but I do feel that it is an unhealthy obsession; which is orders of magnitude below any mental illness, I think. But it's still some kind of problem.

I'd say no and like to state that word by itself pisses me off, just about as much as seeing people Dab, Personally, I'd rather enjoy what short life I have doing and collecting things I like, rather than living up to what other people find "normal", which I might not like or find fun.....And if I'm seen as weird or creepy?, OH FREAKING WELL, Like I care....
