The only thing I think is kids maybe need less homework (and if theres an overarching project due, keep homework to a minimum while teaching to the project). The elimination of homework entirely is unrealistic if you want to give kids a solid education that focuses on information retention.
The French are planning to end homework in school once and for all. Lot of schools there already dont give homework. Weve just been indoctrinated to think thats how kids can learn, but theres certainly more effective methods that doesnt take away as much time from their childhoods
Like what? How else do you learn genuinely challenging concepts, if not by actually thinking, writing, and reading about them a lot?

I live in a big house and it's handy to have a pair of running shoes so that it doesn't take me forever to get from one area of the house to another.
