Personally support keeping it at the size of last contest - 192, if only for az's sanity. Big fan of the suggested change of being able to apply doubles however you want. Agree with cako/Nickit on that keeping the songs at 192 allows people to listen to a wider variety of songs.

Also - giving my personal opinion as to 'how do you listen to songs in VGMC', I put them on and listen to them in the background. Agree that people tend to notice more detail in a song the more you listen to it, but from my perspective - I've burnt out halfway through my ranking trying to enforce this on myself by listening to each song three times; and I believe it should be a personal choice done out of enjoyment; not something you're locked into via a personal ruleset.
tl;dr of the above paragraph: don't force yourself to listen super-close to every song if it stresses you out.
