ParanoidObsessive posted... As an adult? Maybe ( Bummer. Whomever did the Saturday programming for our Fox affiliate was an absolute badass. They usually ended the morning with shows focused on the older boy demographic Spiderman, X-Men, Exosquad, The Tick, Batman. After the cartoons ended, they almost always had a double feature that almost always played into this demographic with martial arts, robots, aliens, monsters, shoot outs etc. They often paired a movie with its sequel or something thematically similar. A huge portion of my pop culture exposure came from the Saturday afternoon Fox movies. I could be misremembering a where I saw a few of these, but at least 90% or better I have specific memories of seeing them for the first time on KLJB Fox TV. The Legend of Zelda Platformers I loved every zelda with Majora's Mask being the last one. When Wind Waker came out I was bummed at the graphics but decided to give it a try anyway thinking they were going to do something different. Twilight Princess sealed the fate for me when I had the realization that they were going to continue to use the same formula for all of eternity. I noticed they designed every dungeon to go find this item to get you to progress further in the dungeon and then you beat it and repeat for all the dungeons. Platformers I wouldn't even say that I liked but it was more that I didn't know what more the world had in store. I played all the Marios and thought that was gaming. Then I got a PC and learned about roguelikes which I really have way more fun with. Now platforming isn't even a gaming experience in my mind because I dislike the idea of pressing a button at a certain time would equal success. I fell in love instead with the idea of my decision making and knowledge of the game even through trial and error would equal success. --- Discord: icegoten Add me if you want to play any older game together. Random tangent here. I'm not sure why anyone would consider a can of Chef Boyardee a meal. That lacks any real caloric value, and isn't even a meal (a can has 300-500 calories). I'm guessing the type of person that eats this crap is a grazer and doesn't really think about their caloric intake. --- THE opinionated king. ... Copied to Clipboard!

This is what I reference when I say Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were very much needed in changing the LoZ formula. A lot of people complain it doesn't "feel" like a Zelda game because of lack of linearity and Dungeon puzzles, but I say that the old Zelda formula was starting to get real stale. I had a similar experience, barely getting anywhere in Twilight Princess and skipping Skyward Sword, nor did I play whatever it was that came out on 3DS. I don't know if this new open ended experience will be good to continue in the future though, it's probably going to need significant renovation to feel fresh again. But I would really like to see a lot of the lessons learned from them continue in the future, particularly allowing multiple solutions to problems or to just cheese them altogether. ... I'm not even a huge fan of pasta anymore and only really want it for a special occasion (e.g. baked zitti at the holidays). Pasta is so heavy and really limits what else you can eat during a meal and doesn't reheat / meal prep well at all compared to something like rice / other rice like grains. That being said I want to try an air fryer baked pasta at some point. Need to find a good recipe for that first tho. --- THE opinionated king. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I had a similar experience, barely getting anywhere in Twilight Princess and skipping Skyward Sword, nor did I play whatever it was that came out on 3DS. BotW really was a breath of fresh air that gave new life to a increasingly stale franchise. Perhaps no other Zelda game has reminded me of the original LoZ like BotW did, what with the completely open world and sense of exploration. The dungeons are kinda lacking, though. HylianFox posted... The dungeons are kinda lacking, though. The Shrines are a neat concept but those got stale pretty quick and there's way too many of them. Oh well. My experience with shrines in both games, in theory sounds great to scatter mini puzzles throughout the world. But in practice, the process is dreading having to go through a puzzle and either relief that it's just a gift, excitement at how simple the solution is, acceptance that I understand what to do but annoyance at how tedious it is, or just full annoyance at the exceptionally tedious and finicky ones. I hated the gyro puzzles in BotW and was very thankful they were completely removed in TotK. Although, dungeons always felt like a chore to me in Zelda games. I much rather had the exploration and questing. Which makes sense why I loved the more recent ones so much. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Once cooled, I'd divide it into portions, wrap those in foil and freeze them. When I wanted pasta I'd move a portion to the fridge, let it thaw overnight then warm it in the microwave the rest of the way.
