So my final topic, only a month off 500, is gone, my dispute closed without even a response, so a big **** you to the mods responsible there (seriously, was waiting for a notification, went back after 12 hours and it was just closed), and the end of over a decade of my nightly cosplay posts. These topics are older than the Fandom name used by the current owners of GameFAQs.

At least an end of posts here. Since any cosplay is now banned and most people never cared about when I was still posting fan art, I'll take nightly posts over to the Discord server. For anyone not already in the server, I'm including a link here.

The server isn't just cosplay, we also accept pets, food, memes and shit posts. Or you can just chat, or even lurk.

Since I can't have one of my nightly posts without any sort of image, but GameFAQs won't allow my usual, have what is by far the most offensive image I have ever shared in a decade of nightly post topics.

I will forever be confused why Gamefaqs has rules like small innocent children are on the website.
Every poll indicates there are no children here. Children are on tiktok. Not on old 90s style message boards like this.

Throw up a basic age gate, says don't enter unless legal adult in your country. And drop the useless moderation.

And stop blanket banning entire subjects of discussion. There's absolutely nothing wrong with talking about politics and religion. Moderators are supposed to mod individual posts that break individual rules, but apparently it's just easier for them this way...

Why not just get an AI to moderate the entire website at this point?

Banning the most frequent topics of discussion convinces me there's some kind of internal struggle in which somebody is trying to kill the website.

Kids under the age of 13 are not allowed here anyway. It's in the ToS.

Because they want them here. They're like digital groomers who want to lure all the children into their van.

Unfortunately, they're trying to lure them in with broccoli instead of candy, and then wondering why it doesn't work.

The general logic is, if you allow hornyposting/porn, then the majority of posts will become hornyposting/porn, then everyone on the outside will begin to see your site as being mostly porn (see also, how normal people used to see Tumblr), and then people will only come to your site if they're looking for the porn. And parents will become more and more against the idea of ever letting their precious children visit your site (even though most teenagers will have already long since discovered how to find actually porn on the Internet long before they'll allowed to make an account here).

Sure, the logic may be flawed and stupid, but that's the general idea behind it. And keep in mind that most GameFAQs policy is probably decided by one or two people over the span of about 2 minutes with almost no thought put into any of it, because no one who's owned the site since CJayC has ever really considered it worth wasting the time and energy on.

It just gets thrown in as a consolation prize when you buy other stuff.

When Red Ventures got the site off CBS, they mostly wanted C|Net and got us as part of the deal.

When Fandom got the site from Red Ventures, it was a package deal where they mostly wanted the other sites (like Metacritic), and we were just thrown in to get rid of us.

Every time we get passed to a new owner, the new owner generally wants us less and less.

Personally I don't really get why they did it, but I'm not sad about it either. Maybe I'm in the minority but I've never been interested in finding out what's making people horny, what they're cranking it to, how their sex life is going, etc. I know how to find videos and pics of sexy stuff on my own, I don't need anyone else's contributions. Whenever I say this people act like I'm some anti-sex puritan freak. No, I just think if you wanna be horny with other people online, go comment on a porn video or something. Go to a fetish subreddit or some sex forum.

Maybe need to raise it to the ask the mods board?

"Skirting" it is pretty generous. They were pretty flagrant. I'm honestly surprised they didn't start getting nailed way earlier.

Presumably no one was marking them, but then someone got a bug up their ass and started marking a few, which is why it's an issue now. Whether it's just because they didn't like Delta or just wanted to be a bit of a troll.

I doubt it's mods specifically coming in and looking for stuff, because that would require more effort than I think most mods are willing to actually put in. And also they're technically not supposed to be able to act on any violations unless someone else is marking it and it winds up in their queue.

You guys could just create a forum (that nobody will proceed to use, because forums are a relic of another age).

I've been banned on reddit so many times over the years (and yet I haven't been banned here in 2 decades) that I'm seriously debating just creating a vlog channel. That's apparently the only medium where you're allowed to talk about things anymore because grifting is culturally acceptable.

I actually thought the topic was going to get modded when Delta started posting the body paint videos.
