I wish to keep this clean and civil, please.

I prefer Animation. Be it Looney Tunes, Hannah Babera to King of the Hill over live action films and shows. There's a few Live Action media l enjoy like Volcano, The Naked Gun films(Need to see the newest one) and random animal themed stuff.

I feel it's hard for me to pay attention to live action stuff. Had a friend where we watched a film. I got bored where my brain shut off.

Which do prefer? It boils down to preferences imo.

I prefer animation because it adds an extra layer to notice and talk about. I don't remember what anime my friend was showing me the other day but there was a scene where the character was washing his face at a sink and someone drew his hands cupped together, filled with water, coming up towards the camera/his face, and his reflection was in the water. This all took place in under 2 seconds and it made us wonder why did someone decide that was a thing they wanted to show us?

Besides that I don't think it boils down to preferences. I think it boils down to how you experienced the story first. For example I saw Hamilton first with the live action play thing and over the years I've seen clips of different animations for it which I didn't like as much.

So I think if my first experience of an anime story was from a real action adaptation then I wouldn't be one of those people who dislike it because I am viewing my basis for it.

I don't care much for anime these days like I use to. I do like Beaststars, Odd Taxi and Dungeon Meshi. Dragon Ball makes my brain hurt.

I feel animation in general feels like they can get expressions better. I prefer Animation more with animals, robots and objects like cars. Yes... I had a Pixar Cars Phase when I was really young.

With Live Action, its hard for me to stay at attention. Even when some of my classes shown Live Action films, I either doodled in my notebook or napped.

I ain't a fan of mindless action, either or the "Terrorists" plot tropes I seen in films.

There was a film that involved a not so good subject manner that made me super uneasy. Won't tell. I don't wanna get modded, but it's linked to trauma.

It depends a lot on the show. Animated Lion King blows away live action Lion King. But the animated Mr. T was terrible next to the A-Team, and Emergency +4 sucked donkey balls.

I like both, equally. Art is art. When it's done right, it can be amazing.

To be honest, Im a little surprised there arent more big budget animated films being made for popular IPs these days.

The negative stigma of "anime" has drastically decreased in recent years. And more people are open-minded about it.

There are so many projects that people always claim as "unfilmable", and Im just sitting over here like, "Have you considered animation!?!!" and they look at me like im an alien from another planet.

Projects like:

Paradise Lost.
The Mountains of Madness.
The Dark Tower (actually being faithful to the books, not that piece of shit movie with Idris Elba)

Why not make them into animated movies?

Why are studios such cowards when it comes to projects like that, but dont seem to have any issue throwing millions and millions of dollars on trash projects like Fast & Furious 17?

Gah.

How many exist? Reminds me how Land Before Time had 14 films.

I'm not sure that's a relevant comparison here. "Live action Lion King" was also animated, just less interestingly. It's a given that it's going to be worse than the original.

Generally, I prefer animated; they tend to be more visually expressive.

Just like that "games are for children" thing there's still a lingering stigma about animated movies being family-friendly despite adult ones existing.

My brain doesn't handle the suspension of disbelief when it comes to live action. If the character has a giant sword it just looks dumb.

Sex scenes in animation are vastly superior to live action. A 2D Kamehameha is vastly superior to live action version. Trying to do super kaioken for live action would no doubt look like garbage.

Animation for shows and live action for movies, at least for the most part.

Obviously there are exceptions like Breaking Bad, Always Sunny, and South Park: bigger, longer, and uncut, but 90+% of the time it holds true

Cartoon and furry porn is often better than actual porn, since they can depict idealized forms, and/or situations that would be impossible/impractical/dangerous/illegal. Professional porn often has so much airbrushing or photoshop that it's really not much different from a drawing, while actual unretouched amateur porn can sometimes be kinda gross.

And you can get literally anything you can think of. If it doesn't already exist, you can pay an artist (some furry artists work for ridiculously low rates), use an AI, or draw it yourself, and you can have any kind of weird fetish or unusual situation your heart can desire. Someone paid Art Frahm a buttload of money to do numerous paintings of women holding celery while their panties fell down in public, so someone will draw whatever you want.

I have to disagree with all that. Actually getting a particularly sexy/erotic idea on film takes more filmmaking talent. That sounds pretty funny to say, but it's true. And the end result is better off for it because this is all about stimulating your brain. I said before animation has a higher floor but live action has a higher ceiling. That applies in this case as well
