Newsom originally pledged that the state would spend $50 million to contract with Civica Rx, a nonprofit drug manufacturer headquartered in Utah. The state earmarked another $50 million to build a manufacturing plant in California, but has given no updates on that project.

If $100 million can get us cheaper insulin just imagine what we could achieve with the $40 billion that Trump is pissing away to play politics in Argentina.

I'm not! It's a very, very, very good thing! What the pharmaceutical industry does to drug prices is a crime that lots of people should go to jail for! A public option should be the standard for every single drug in existence! It's just very hard to look at this juxtaposed with what happened literally the day before and not see some kind of humor in it.
