One of my favorite horror movies.

Nope. Saw it in theaters as a kid and remember being bored to tears. Finally gave in and rewatched it as an adult a few years ago and practically hated it.

I'm glad others enjoy it so much, but it is not at all for me.

Yes.

Loved it. Highly original, incredibly unsettling, and genuinely frightening. It was brilliant just by what wasn't shown. The ending shot gives me chills to this day.

I dont like it but I can admit it has its moments, and you cant deny the huge impact it had on both pop culture and the horror genre.

No, but I respect what they accomplished. I remember being really young and my stupid ass mom called me at my dads house (they were separated) telling me not to watch it because the movie was real and those kids were really dead and she cant believe they released the movie or whatever.

I saw it a few years later and as a young man that had seen a lot of horror I was not impressed. Its a dumb movie.

I voted indifferent because it was sort of interesting when it came out l but I have never wanted to rewatch it & I loathe the gimmicky found footage genre it spawned.

I absolutely loved it. Saw it 7 times in theaters and met the cast last year.

I really enjoyed the movie and the sense that it genuinely felt real. I never got to experience it in a theater, but considering how terrible the constant movement and shakiness of the camera is, which was a common complaint about it, I'm glad I watched it on a TV.

No but it was effective. Shortly after seeing it I was taking a car trip around Lake Michigan with a plan to camp in the Upper Peninsula. It was dark when I got to the campground and was feeling uneasy so opted to drive to Sault Ste. Marie and spring for a Best Western.

Yes. I'm such a sucker for found footage, and Blair Witch basically made the genre a thing.

I feel like its also however, one of those movies that doesn't hit as hard if you watch it, having seen a lot of more recent found footage, because of how much of an impact the movie originally had. Like every found footage horror movie has taken stuff from Blair Witch, which if watching Blair Witch for the first time, might make it seem less interesting.

I watched it back when it was promoted to be real, I had my doubts of course but the thought that it could be real (in the sense that they were terrorised by psychos) lingered while watching.

It was impactful but my opinion flipped after the confirmation that it was fake & it became a very silly movie in retrospect.

For the time, I thought it was cool. Really unique and I guess it spawned an entire subgenre.

I liked it. Stupid as hell, mostly for the reason Acemos just mentioned but still.

I really enjoyed it but it was kind of a product of it's time. I showed it to a friend of mine who'd never seen it a few years ago, and it didn't really do anything for him. It's a lot more fun to watch if you pair it with the 1-hour Blair Witch documentary that was made for the movie, which can be found on youtube (and I believe the special features if you own the DVD or Blu-ray).

It was also a very effective horror movie for me because I have a fear of the woods (and woods at night). So even without all of the Blair Witch stuff, it's still just a creepy movie for me to watch.
