The Socialdemocrats in the Church of Sweden remain biggest party by far and go from 70 to 72 seats.

The Green Party in the Church of Sweden go from 0 to 18 seats while the Green church party Heaven and Earth go from 1 to 6 seats.

The Sweden Democrats (our big nationalist party) in the Church of Sweden lose seats and go from 16 to 13.

The nationalist party Alternative for Sweden go from 3 to 0 seats.

There are a total of 12 parties in the church elections but the above showcase the clear trends.

Turnout was just 17% compared to our regular national elections which have a turnout of 80-90%.

It is a vote on stuff like: how the church handles all its forests, if the church will agree with marriage equality or is willing to lose rights to ban same sex marriage and so forth.

Yes, great news!
